I just saw someone post about 2 TE sets (which I tend to be a fan of, at least on Madden). I was THRILLED last year when we brought in Richardson. I think Mangina did not use Richardson well, and I hope he will be used better this year, but he's getting up there in years. In all our discussions about Jet needs, I haven't seen any mention of looking for a quality FB.

Any thoughts on our future and the need for a quality FB?

We have a quality FB who needs to absolutely be retained.

The Jets need to bring back T-Rich. He's getting old but he still gets the job done.

Baltimore had LeRon McClain and he was very productive in the offense. Rex Ryan could be looking for a FB who is similiar. Im not saying Tony R isnt good at what he does.

T-Rich was awesome. He's I think 39 but is an FB. He doesn't have to be 27 to be great. We are not giving up anything for him, just the money...that too around $1 mil or at the most $1.5mil. Not too bad for a good solid starter.

Agreed but $$$$ seems to be an issue and it seems Tanne and Ryan want to explore better options in a few positions from what im reading today.

Yeah, but I think T-Rich at $1.2 million or so for one more year is worth it. Especially for this "all weather offense"

According to Wiki he's 37 right now. Anyway I agree with everyone in that I definitely think Tony Richardson should stay. He consistently made amazing blocks for Thomas Jones and without him there's no way Thomas Jones does nearly as good as he did this year. I remember on this one play he singlehandedly took out three defenders with an insane block, which lead to a Thomas Jones touchdown. I hope Rex watches game tape on him before he decides to not resign him.

Unless they add a power back getting Richardson back or someone like him is a necessity. Even WITH a new OLine and a blocking fullback the Jets short yardage game was a little lacking last year, can you imagine what it would have been without Richardson? TJ can bully defensive backs around but when someone on the front seven gets to him he's going right down. Its either Richardson or get a power back, TJ on his own is a liability.

I think I came off a little wrong. I LOVE Richardson and he damn sure better be back. I think Rex will use him better. But it would be nice to get a future star in now to learn behind him.

T-Rich is a big reason for TJs AFC leading year.

    he needs to come back.

I've wondered this entire season why the Vikings got rid of Richardson.

    I'm still wondering.
