Chris Tomasson@christomasson Mike Zimmer: "I think Sam has played great. I think he's earned the right to be the starting QB.'' Unlikely Minny moves him, but on the basis that they would be willing to listen to any offers (to try and earn some coin back from giving up that 1st for Bradford), would you want us to go after him? If so, what price? If no, why not?
They won't take anything for Bridgewater. They'd be insane. Bradford can't last a whole season so they can't afford to let the best QB on their roster go. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Bridgewater needs to be in an Alex Smith situation with a great game plan and a good running game. He won't turn the ball over a lot but he's not going to make many plays to wow you. I wouldn't give up a ton for him, but I'd definitely inquire. He's a lot further along than our quarterbacks are and he's young enough to mold. I highly doubt they trade him though. They still have him on his rookie deal, and he'd instantly be the best backup quarterback in football behind an often injured Sam Bradford.
He'll be the Vikings QB again in 2018. Whether he can stand up to the pounding or not is an open question. His lower body was part of the issue in his fall in 2014. Skinny legs and the bad knee injury aren't going to make anybody change their opinion on that front. Bradford is a good stopgap for the Vikings as they try to rehab Bridgewater and build the kind of offense that he'll work well in.
Ive had this thought for a while too, but i figured we would get/ go for Bradford because Bridgewater's upside is too great.
Are you ready for this ...?? Idzik had opportunity to draft T Bridgewater D Carr among other QBs in Round 1 for the Jets but got us Pryor ...a Safety!!!! ( who royally suxs) To heck with anybody who remotely believes J Idzik did a great job at beancounting and saving $...Maybe so But boy what a DOPE Now the OP with this post about getting Teddy,,,Gotta laugh This Team just doesn't miss the boat they miss the Titanic err..Queen Mary hah SMH 16Xs And NO Minnie is NOT parting with Teddy now...I don't they are that stupid
Had a conversation about this with a friend last night. I think some of us could be better GMs than the ones we've had. It's mind boggling some of the picks we have made and some of the players that were available and we had wanted. One that really comes to mind is Stephen Hill and Alshon Jeffrey. I remember four years ago jumping up and down to take Jeffrey. Even the Pryor draft I wanted Cooks and we took Pryor. It's amazing how when you look back it is very easy to scrath your heads and say what were they thinking. Macagnan has made me scratch my heads in the 2nd round. Devin Smith and Hackenberg. I think he fell in love with their intangibles but we've done that too many times with Vernon Gholston, Stephen Hill, Smith and Hackenburg. My advice don't do it. Get football players. As for Touchdown Teddy if we could get him for the right price I'd do it but how is he coming along in his recovery 1 and 2 I don't think the Vikings trade him. I'd rather have him than Bradford. More upside. Be interesting to see how that plays out. The Vikings are definitely kicking themselves for trading for Bradford. Geno for a third looks like a steal for them or a fourth.
Your last sentence ...they want geno smith for a 3rd or a 4th?... again I doubt if they are that desperate
You are probably right. I was referring to August when Bridgewater went down. I think they might have traded for Geno probably for a fourth but then again I could be delusional on that one. At this point someone will sign Geno in the offseason but I can't imagine it being much more than the minimum for a veteran.
Assuming that the Jets aren't going to draft a QB, I'd offer them Hackenberg, Pyror, Marshall, and Richardson plus a 4th. Marshall and Richardson have to go together though lol. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
