are out of their mind. With needs at DE, QB, RB, TE and practically everything else we select an OT. You guys are so used to mediocrity you actually feel ramsey is starting material! thats just nieve
Our offensive line as is is mediocre at best. It all starts on the o-line when you talk about offensive success. You can't just throw a bunch of fat guys out there and expect them to do well.
Are you seriously saying we dont need offensive line help?? why do you think we lost 2 qb's last year? cause our oline was piss poor. Not dont get me wrong i would rather the jets make a bigger splash with the 4th pick of the draft. But to say he wouldnt immediatley help our team or we dont need an ot is just foolish
Why didn't you just post this in any of the 20 D'brick threads? Like maybe Thoughts on D'brick. Stuff like this doesn't deserve its own thread you are the naive one.
actually, your the person who enjoys mediocrity. Everybody always wants the sexy picks around here. fact of the matter is that as of right now we have one of, if not the worste, o lines in the league. without an o line we don't pass, we don't run and we don't control the clock. while i would love to have the luxury of drafting Williams we have enough parts on D to be very solid. Our biggest need is o line because without an o line this team is nothing. every year people say to put these picks off 'til the later rounds. it's time to address our biggest need, even if it isn't the "sexy" pick!
I was on the I want no part of ferguson bandwagon, but if we took him it wouldnt be the worse thing in the world. I might boo at the draft if we took him though
Do you ever get out of the Jets Forum? Obviously not because thats where I usually post. I post in the Jets Forum every once in a while but I cant find any good threads that pisses me off so I complian. Plus when you see 5 threads on the same page about D'brick you know something is screwed up.
OK fine, but complaining about new threads isn't going to solve anything, people are going to continue to do it. If you're so concerned about all the new threads why not try and become a moderator so you can merge them all? If that's not an option, why not just keep a list and PM a moderator so they can take care of it for you? The new thread police are almost as annoying, if not more annoying then the people posting duplicate threads.
I agree, d'brick would be a wasted pick. We need to fill a need, not replace a position that doesn't need replacing. Jones is a fine LT.
It doesnt really matter who we draft at 4th. Whoever it is will probably get hurt the first game and be out the season. And this is why life sucks my friends.
Gentlemen, in Dr Z's mock draft in this weeks Sports Illustrated, He quotes a low level Jets Coach as saying, "At one tackle spot we have a veteran and at the other air." Now if D'Brick is the best tackle in the draft, I understand why we would draft him. Me, personally; I would like to get A.J. Hawk; but I'm not going to gripe when we pick either D'Brick or Mario. Who knows, maybe some team will give us an offer we simply cannot refuse and we'll trade down. We'll find out tomorrow.
Ok, TE- not a real need. Baker had some spurts of talent last year and so did jolley. RB- martin should have a decent if not good year next year. we also have blaylock and houston who can carry any slack this year QB - go ahead and spend a shiz load of money on a guy who might not even play. DE - we lost abraham, ok, but do u want to spend yet another high pick on defense. I know how to improve the offense! continually spend first round picks on defense! Fact of the matter is, our biggest hole is tackle. Our offensive line was mediocre last year and it only got worse with the release of dead weight. D'Brick can very well solidify the tackle position for years to come. And im tired of ppl saying, well he's too small and he's not a great run blocker. Fact of the matter is, when it comes to drafting OL in the first round, some ppl want an absolute perfect OL which is unrealistic. Ppl continue to focus on his flaws and act as if the other big names have no flaws. Leinart - bad arm strength and coming off two surgeries on his arm Young - never went under center in college, bad throwing mechanics Cutler - never won in college and dont know if he would have won with a better team. But why isn't anybody focusing on their flaws??? cuz their 'sexy' picks and ppl want to find an excuse not to take D'Brick. Fact of the matter is, D'Brick would fill our biggest need at tackle. Adrian cant cut it at LT now and we need one. Ferguson is a solid pick and completely worth the 4th if he falls which he may not!
