Thomas @ OLB?

    I was just thinking about how we will use him at DE this year, or the lack of using him @ DE. I could see him being a great outside Run stopper and Pass rusher just based on his measureables.

    The early early depth chart had Thomas pegged as a starter at OLB...

    I'll believe it when I see it. I personally think Bryan Thomas was a workout warrior bust. Whatever speed he showed in college and at the combine, it didn't translate to the pros. Keep in mind that he was brought in to be a pass rusher, yet all he has been able to prove is that he is a moderately competant run-stopper. I hope this kid will eventually pan out, but I think it's highly unlikely.

    who knows with Bryan Thomas. It is possible that our last coaching staff was encouraging him to become a run stopper. Maybe he took it upon himself to improve that part of his game thinking it would be his only way to supplant JAbe on the field. hopefully Mangini can recognize his strenghs and then put him in position to flourish.
