Before upcoming trade deadline....Jets should/could trade RB Chris Johnson to Cowboys for CB Morris Claiborne who is currently on IR {or for another quality CB}. Jets need a CB & Claiborne has had some off-field issues with the Cowboys. Cowboys need a veteran RB to take some of the load off of RB Murray or he won't last the season; Johnson could/would be just that guy. Cowboys also have a better OL, which would open up some holes for Johnson...which he needs. Also...with Harvin on-board, Jets are overloaded in backfield. Sorta dreamy...but makes sense for Jets & also helps Cowboys. Jets don't really need Johnson at this point & Claiborne will bolster there weak secondary for next year. Jets are building team towards next year at this point anyway.
Maybe see if the Cowboys want to give up a mid-round pick for CJ at this point? Harvin is going to be in on 3rd down and the spot he's going to be taking is CJ's most likely.
why would a receiver take a running backs spot on 3rd downs? I am not against getting clairborne but harvin should not line up in the back field ever
Harvin is a playmaker. He's not a WR in the same sense that a slot receiver or an outside guy is. He could be lined up just about anywhere on any play and most of his catches are in the same areas that Chris Johnson's would be. He's not a huge down the field guy. He's a bubble screen guy.
He'd be a complete unknown. I would have sent a 6th or 7th to Dallas before he got hurt, when there's a chance he could have helped our season but no way now that he's on IR. We'd have to address the CB position anyway.
And here I was kind of hoping that CJ and Kerley would be the big beneficiaries of 3rd down defenses keying on Harvin.....now you want to spoil all that for a bust that's on IR?
Leave Claiborne in Dallas, he is not good and is a nut job, our season is over, The Jets will fix their issues in the off season and through the draft, our injured guys are going to come back healthy for next year. Dallas gave him every opportunity to keep his job, and they finally said enough. His replacement Scandrick has done a good job.
Unless he was just misspelling shrud... Urban Dictionary Shrud: A shrud is a predominantly male type. Quite often a collector, a spotter, an anorak- someone who is just a little too interested in their chosen field of ephemera, nostalgia to realise they have become fixated, boring, and neglectful of personal hygiene.
CJ2K has zero trade value, he hasn't done anything what so ever and is a shell of his old self he would demand nothing on the trade market, let alone a guy who was a former first round pick, maybe a bust but he is much younger with a lot more potential in the NFL.
Let's trade Adams for Brady. That'd be pretty shrewd. Seriously, remind me why the team with the current best RB in the league would trade for an old RB at the end of his career?
I still CJ can be effective if used correctly, played pretty good in NE. Let's see, aboushi changes our whole offense!
