This is a photo of my son the day of the Jets' last playoff game: He is a freshman in High School now. I'm not joking.
Hopefully, he is happy and healthy and doesn't hate you for making him a Jets fan (my sons have followed me down this path).
Man. What a cutie boy. Sad but at least you gave us something to smile about. God bless your son by the way.
I should dig up a picture, but the last playoff game the Jets had, my younger son was 13 months old, and he too is a freshman in high school right now.
my first son was born on the day darnold started, after the pick 6 on first play, he was lights out rest of the game - that's the been the highlight for my son. good thing is that he's now a vikings fan...
I was having what was probably the most fun I’ve ever had. Peak physical condition, my own place, a great salary, nice ride, travelled, dated a lot of different women, etc. Married now, good shape for my age, home ownership, great salary, nice ride, less travel but that’s about to change. The key with the Jets is being a fair weather fan I guess. They can’t really bring you down as easily that way. I don’t think I’m full on fair weather but losses and organizational stupidity don’t bother me as much or for as long as they used too.
Uber and Lyft didn’t even exist Or Tinder or Snapchat either.. Game of Thrones had not aired a single episode yet
Kidding, my son was born the morning of the NE game where our TE fumbled in the end zone for a touchback and caused our season to go to shit. my son has autism and in a way I'm glad he won't ever endure the miserable pain of being a Jets fan.
Saw this conversation spread around Twitter a few weeks back. Great topic. I had just graduated HS the last time the Jets made the playoffs. I now own a house and have a daughter on the way. Today is the 14th anniversary of the final game in the Meadowlands where we clinched vs Cinci 37-0. I was watching highlights at my desk earlier and had to stop for a minute and just think about how long this shit has actually gone on for. God bless you old timers who were to young to even know what was going on when they last won the damn thing. One day it will come.
I don't think it will. Not in many of our lifetimes for that matter. GreenGuy's spirit is looking down on us...with pity. So many Gang Greeners et. al. lived their ENTIRE lives without a championship. I don't hold out hope. Really kind of sad to admit. Are you SURE that isn't Child Abuse? lol..... j/k
Yup, I was 6 months old in January 1969. I am part of the most tortured of generation(S) of NYJ fans. I have been aboard this train wreck of a franchise for a LONG, LONG time and don't have another 55 years to wait for them to get it right. I cringe when I hear Benigno bitch, he got to see them not only in a SB, but they won it all, so STFU...
