I really don't give a shit how we do it, but we need to go into the bye with a winning record. These are the teams we play after week 8: Week 9: @ Bills** Week 10: vs. Patriots SNF Week 11: @ Broncos TNF* Week 12: vs. Bills** Week 13: @ Redskins** Week 14: vs. Chiefs* Week 15: @ Eagles Week 16: vs. Giants *Week 17: @ Dolphins* Other than the Pats at home, we have a relatively easy stretch of games from weeks 9 to 14. If we can go into our bye at 4-3, we'll have a decent shot at winning most (if not all) of those games. Obviously, we have to worry about the games ahead of us right now. I just wanted to point out that if we do wind up going 4-3, the season is not over. -------------- *-These teams should be out of contention by the time we play them. **-Hopefully the Bills and Redskins will also be losing by the time we play them.
Exactly, this is a tough stretch. I would be okay with 4-3 coming into the bye, if Mangold gets healthy, and we don't suffer any more key injuries. The biggest key is to win the divisional games. New England already dropped one against Buffalo. If we're truly a Super Bowl contender, we need to go 5-1 in the division. Sweep the Dolphins for once, and take 3/4 from Buffalo/New England. Do that, and we give ourselves the tiebreaker over the Patriots, which could be a huge factor late.
The Bills, Patriots, Eagles, and Redskins are not necessarily weak. I do not think it is as easy as a stretch as it seems. Very doable, but not very easy. We need to step it up, now. We needed a team to beat the Patriots, other than us, and the Bills did that. We need to capitalize on that and use it in our favor. We are never going to be able to get as far as we want with these constant post season away games.
What's pretty cool is the Patriots only have one road divisional game remaining the rest of the year ... @ the Jets .. You guys gotta keep pace til the end .. hopefully that sad sack of shit defense will improve by the end of the year .. Im embarrassed for BB ..
We play the Eagles week 15. I was talking about weeks 9-14. I also said the Patriots at home are going to be our biggest challenge over that six game stretch.
