No matter what happens after today, this was really, really BIG. Whether we make it to the playoffs, or lose the next 7 games straight (not going to happen), this will be remembered as the best win of 2006. Thoughts?
I love it so far, but you never know what can happen down the road. Who knows, maybe the Jets have more surprises in store for us fans. Regardless, this'll be one of the most memorable games of '06 for sure. EDIT: and what the hell are you doing in that avatar (if that is you)? It's too dark to tell, but it looks like you're sawing your body in half or something.
This was so huge for the defense. They stuffed the run (aside from one drive) and they put great pressure on tom brady. If the defense continues to play like this, we're in good shape.
Huge lift from the defense. Their best game of the year so far. This was a huge win. This is the first time all year we have beaten one of the elite football teams. Even with a few losses, you still have to say the Pats are some of the cream of the NFL. Now we know we can compete with the best. That is a huge confidence lift for the team. Yes, I think this could be a turning point. We will see where it goes from here. The main reason we won, out side of great physical play on both sides of the ball, we didn't make any ultra-boneheaded costly errors that NE converts for significant points. This is one of the main reasons we have lost in the past. Our O-line and D-line really had a physical game. We won the line of scrimmage; big improvement. It is obvious that the whole team did a lot of homoe work during the bye week from the players right up to the coaching staff. How about that pooch punt by Pennington. On third down the play irks me unless it is 3 and 20+, but in that situation it was ideal. Graham's job is still very safe............. Even though we got called on another roughing the QB penalty again (I think another semi-bad call agian); it was worth seeing Brady get steamrolled into the mud. I think it was Hobson, but how in the heck is he suppose to control running at full tilt. Even Brady was 250+ lbs, Hobson still would have lifted his feet off of the ground with the impact. It wasn't like the ball had been released either. Hobson got there at the right time. Brady is a tough bugger though. I mean he got leveled about as bad as it gets, and he gets up an just keeps coming (he reminds me of The Terminator sometimes).
SydneyDon... that flag looks way to "Great Britianny" ... can barley see the stars to make it looks like Australia's. I bright this up bc im Irish and i hate that English.
You'll have to see past it my friend. And the world is pretty f'ked up because of this type of hate that you feel.
I wouldn't say this is the high point, I'd say this is the turning point of our franchise. I never in my wildest dreams did I think Mangini go into Foxboro and watch him outcoach Belly and the Jets outplay the Pats.
This is a messed up world... but the British have done nothing but stole peoples land.. Ireland, South Africa, India, Afghanistan, Australia.. list goes on.
Jus made me remeber this from the simpsons Groundskeeper Willie: It won't last. Brothers and sisters are natural enemies. Like Englishmen and Scots! Or Welshmen and Scots! Or Japanese and Scots! Or Scots and other Scots! Damn Scots! They ruined Scotland!
today is the high point through 9 games, but we have 7 weeks left to have even higher points and it all starts Next Sunday!
