    Great Job as a Consultant!!!

He probably whispered "Trade Down Here"
    &
"Take this Special LB here and this injury prone SS here!"

    LMAO :rofl2:

I'm sure he just wanted to make this new regime seem more incompetent than himself!

(This is all tongue in cheek so calm the panties)

We never saw a draft anywhere this bad when Bradways was here. Just send me a bring back Bradway and send the kids back to pre-school petition and I will sign it.

Didn't you get the memo? You cannot, even in jest, criticize FO decisions ever. They're demi-gods after all.

Yeah because Bryan Thomas over Ed Reed, and then Jon McGraw proved to be incredible.

Oh, and how could anyone forget BJ Askew?? Fullback on the first day, always forward-thinking.

Trading for Jolley then drafting a kicker. Brilliant!

Ignoring the O-line, gotta love the innovative thinking.

And we're only scraping the surface here.

But our guys are morons before the weekend is even over. Some of you guys try too hard to bash the team. What don't you like? Because they picked two O-linemen? They had to because the previous front office who you're begging to have back completely neglected it. Don't like the last two picks? Neither do I but I'm not going to call for their heads because of them. I am really puzzled as to why some guys on here are ready to see heads roll over any move they don't agree with. Really amazing.

Jets fans have been conditioned to complain no matter what. It's part of our DNA.

The problem I have with this draft is not how succesful the players will be but picking players 1-3 rounds early. Similar to what happened with Jeff Lageman. He was a guy projected to go in the 4th round that Mike Hickey chose in the 1st round. The point here is not whether Lageman, Smith, Clemens or Shlegal are good players but whether we reached, misjudged and took them to early. Its just poor strategy and a waste to take players 1-3 rounds before anyone else would take them which it appears is what the Jets did on three of our draft picks today.

There are two parts to drafting. One is identifying and picking good players. Second is picking these players at the appropiate time and using your draft picks to your best advantage. The second part is where the jets FO failed miserably today. They came out wheeling and dealing and seemed to be determined to pick players they thought highly of no matter if it was 1-3 rounds early. The first trade with Washington equated to equal draft chart value and seemed like a nice move. While I applaud their conviction in the players they valued and I acknowledge that they at least tried to trade down by the fleecing Philadelphia gave us in the 3rd round trade the end result was panicking and taking players far to early.

The new FO clearly does not appear ready for primetime. Either they know something everyone else doesen't know or thier age and inexperiece is showing itself.

They wanted Clemens and apparently the Vikings were ready to take him which is why they traded up. Please tell me how they were going to get him in a later round? The other two guys, as I said, I'm not too happy about them either. They reached but by no means does that outweigh the picks they made before that. It's like when they make good moves, it's received with indifference. But as soon as they do something questionable, people are jumping down their throats.

I would but their opinion that the Vikings wanted Clemens and that they needed to trade up if they didn't overvalue the next two picks so much. The next picks added further evidence that they have no idea what other teams are doing, what is good value and how to appropiately use your draft picks. Clemens should have been a 3rd or 4th round pick. A mid second was a reach. If there indeed was someone willing to take him mid second round let him waste a pick there.

If it was just one reach to get one must have player that might be mysteriously stolen I would respect their opinion but when it becomes every pick and every player thats when I have a problem with the judgement of the FO. Rather taking 1 reach and 2 gross reaches it appears the FO panicked and showed their age and lack of expereince. Hopefully they can regain their composure, wipe the egg off their face, and do better tommorow.

He is half Damien Robinson and half Eugene Robinson. He's better off in Philadelphia.
