GOODBYE WILLIE. Pull yourself out the game instead of the pitcher that pitch a score less 8 innings..

The onion rolls at Ratner's were the best on the planet.

Mr. Feelgood story hits one out. 1-0 Rangers.

i guess he's an upgrade, he'll OPS .600 at one of the corner OF positions, instead of endy, tatis or marlon's .500 OPS.

At least for the 12 games he's healthy enough to play in.

Quite an unusual occurrence today - a real doubleheader (rather than the split ones that are really just two games on the same day). This might be the only time a kid gets to experience what used to be so common.

The only place Delgado is worse than at the plate is in the field.

Pardon my naivete, but isn't a doubleheader just two games on the same day? Are you comparing a back to back doubleheader vs. a day/night doubleheader?

hard to get swept in a double header, but the mets have already done that once this year and got swept in 4 game series twice as well

This is why the Mets are idiots. Is it Willie's fault that Maine can't pitch 7, that Feliciano stunk, that Smith stunk? Of course not. Thanks to their ridiculous "win this series or else" statement, they have guaranteed that the focus will be on how firing him for those reasons is totally unfair.

The Mets might not be any better if Wilpon had insisted on firing him after last season (despite Omar), but they wouldn't look like such complete asses doing it.
