Chris: you could see this coming.
Mike: I thought they would lose, but they got killed.

Chris: Does the coach get a pass?
    Mike: Absolutely.

Chris: Does the QB get a pass
Mike: Sure. Sometimes the game just gets away from you--this one of those times. JAX was an angry, physical team which presented a tough matchup anyway. Now, move on, "next" and "dont do this again."

StevieP: Reasonable to me. They also think that 8 wins would be tremendous.

I think that anything less than 2 out of the next three is very disappointing. 4-4 going into the turn would be very respectable.

THEN -- the Pats and the Bears. I guess well go one game at a time.

Makes sense...Fruit Loops is always going to hate on us, but it looks like Fatso is willing to give us a pass as long as our coach is a disciple of his good buddy Parcells.

Seriously, though (and I absolutely cannot believe I'm saying this), I think Mike is right. Wrong team, wrong place, wrong time. Is Jacksonville 41 points better than us? Absolutely not. I think the realists among us expected this to be a loss--we were on the road, the week after a draining loss, against a physical team that dominates the LOS (our weak point on both sides of the ball) and was desperate for a win.

Mangini hasn't had enough time to fix our problems, but I think he's done a terrific job of masking them. Against teams like Tennessee and Buffalo, that's enough to eke out a win. Against physical, veteran teams like the Pats and the Jaguars, we get exposed. That's just the way it's going to be this season. Fortunately, we don't play many teams like that. In fact, I agree with some other posters; our schedule is soft enough that we can win 9 or possibly even 10 games this year. I doubt you'll see us get out-muscled by the Lions or Browns the way we were against the Jags. For now, I agree with Mike--put this behind us, give the CS a pass.

Oh, and bring on the fish.

We'll also sweep the Jills ... we may even beat The Pats in our second meetting. I think we'll go 7-9. OK for a rebuilding team.

Next year, my expectations will advance. PLAYOFFS ..maybe more.

I'm a JETS fan .... I sit and wait year after year after year ...........

Hey,if we sweep the fish and Bills,i'll be a happy camper.

A friend of mine at softball tonight was tellin me that he heard the Jets were really livin it up in Jacksonville before the game. he's not the type to say things like that if he didn't really read it some where. Anyone else hear this or read this? He said he saw it in a paper or something, but forgot which one
