The AFCE has a tough ass schedule this year. That's why no one should be expecting 15-1, 14-2, etc. like some people here have been posting.... gonna be a dog fight right until the end for this division.
It has to be said but the Jets are pretty much a lock to lose 1 of the games to: Denver, Buffalox2, Cleveland, or Detroit. Hopefully it's only 1 game though, it happens every year.
I trust the Jets under Rex to take care of lesser teams a lot more than previous years. Upsets can still happen because they're all pros, but still, a dominant defense destroys those mediocre to below average teams. (Tampa Bay/Oakland last year)
As the Jets have proven time and time again, there are no easy games in the NFL. No matter how superior Jets' fans think their team is, it's going to come down to division record and head to head. no team is running away with it this year. Difference between 1st and 3rd will be 2 games IMHO.
You're right. This is the NFL, not College Football. The Sunshiners on this site saying.."I guarantee 15-1"..need a reality check. Going 14-2 is tough, a couple of turnovers and stupid penalities (we know too well) and you generally lose no matter what team you play. If the Jets can win the AFCE and be 11-5/12-4 and have homefield advantage for the playoffs, I'd be thrilled.
later in the season we get a stretch of @ oak (granted it's a west coast trip) Cleveland @ Jets Buffalo Detroit thats 4 out of 5 very winnable games before ending @ new england
I was thinking the same thing. I don't want to be unrealistic and think they won't slip up against bad teams, but I'm sure they will at least once. Penalties, injuries, weather or any combo thereof could cost them a game or two against one of those teams.
Our schedule looks remarkably better moving forward. We knew four conference games and three of those being divisional games to start would be rough but I like this now. Beat Miami, beat the Bills and we should be in a good position.
To be fair the Vikings followed on a short week in Denver isn't going to be easy. West coast trips are never easy
I think we go 11-5 I think we beat the Bills Lose to the Vikings(they're coming off the bye got 2 weeks to prepare) Beat Denver Bye Beat Green Bay Beat Detroit Beat Cleveland Beat Houston Beat Cincinati Lose to the Patriots(they're at home & when was the last time we swept em?) Beat Miami Lose to Steelers(road game, their D scare me and Ben will be back by then) Lose to Bears(road game, their d looks good this year & Cutler seem to have turn things around) Beat Buffalo We win the division by going 5-1 in division
