http://www.tboblogs.com/index.php/sports/comments/marve-picks-miami/ It's pretty significant because I went to High School with him. When I was a Senior, he was a Sophomore, and starting at the time. He broke Tim Tebow's(FL QB) record of completions and attempts in a State Title game I believe and threw over 40 TDs. He's only like 195, so he'll obviously red-shirt with Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman still at The U, so that'll give him time to get up to at least 210. I saw him play one game live in his Sophomore year and he was obviously overwhelmed being young, but showed composure taking hit after hit. When my Alma Mater won State this year, he was clearly the reason, he has a good arm and scrambles great, perfect for a spread style offense, even West Coast style. Glad to see Shannon get a top recruit, a major recruit and lure him away from other top programs...
Huge signing for the U. Robert Mavre isn't going to get any playing time, I think that Randy Shannon will have no choice but to give Kirby Freeman a legit shot at starting next season, but I love the fact that we've got this type of dual threat QB for the future and he's already talking about going to war for our new HC. A top 25 recruiting class is more then I could have asked for as a pessimist. Things are looking good.
I would not at all be surprised to see Marve getting time by the end of the season. Wright and Freeman both are pretty much potential-laden, underdeveloped QBs, unless Nix can whip one of them into shape, Marve will get in there. He's the future of Miami football.
