...start tomorrow if you count until Black Monday rather than Christmas itself.

I want Idzik out of the stocking tomorrow so we can get a new GM in place and ready to deal with the coaching carousel on the 29th. Earlier in the season I thought he should get another season but his lack of activity as prospects failed and injuries took their toll while sitting on cap money sealed his fate in my mind. I don't care if he quits or if he gets fired, I just want him gone now instead of dragging his lame duck feet around Florham Park another day.

.....and I want to wake up tomorrow morning with a beautiful, naked 21 year old next to me.

So, he's gone and the Jets still need to replace Idzik before they can hire a coach. Do you still think it would have been a bad idea to get started on replacing the GM two weeks ago?

Okay, just put your head in the sand. Someone will contact you when the new GM has been named. Or would you rather wait until the new coach is on board, too?

Thanks, that's helpful. You have so much faith that Woody is going to come up aces this time, yet you are so impatient with his choice last time. Kind of odd.

No. I know that there's no clear cut ace for GM out there. I also know the Jets are not the only team looking to hire one. With Casserly and Wolf on board, I have more confidence in the best guy being selected. Whether the Jets can rope him in or he gets lost to one of the others is the question - a question that could have been obviated if Idzik was given his walking papers three weeks ago.

I sincerely doubt Idzik made any strategic moves this month and if the new GM was already in place, he'd be interviewing head coach candidates tonight.
