Don't get me wrong. TJ was great for this team, but when did he create yards, gain yards after contact or create runs...his success can be attributed to our oline plain and simple.

All the talk of we should of brought him back is nonsense. Anyone who has watched a jets game knows TJ needs carries to get going. He's a momentum runner. In a reduced role TJ would have been entirely ineffective.

This is why the Jets brought in L t for the same amount as they could of brought TJ. It had nothing to do w money.

L t can catch passes, create when a hole is present, although lacking breakaway speed and IMO is just the overall best fit available for the situation, and he isn't dependant on a ton of carries to get going like TJ is.

Its insane how many people haven't comprehended if TJ doesn't get carries he won't be nearly as effective.

That being said. Good luck TJ and thank you for the memories.

He always looked like he was struggling. Touch his shoelace and he went down. Just when you thought he was gonna make something out of it too. It was only this past season where he actually was manufacturing yards. Contract film maybe? Hmmmm.........Gotta love those pythons tho!

I think you make a great point about TJ being a momentum runner, and you are spot on about how being in reduced role would severely limit his effectiveness.

One of the first threads I created on this site was early in this season talking about how our running game was still a concern for me because TJ would consistently run for 3 yards then would bust out for a big 50 yarder skewing his average some.

Can you imagine TJ in the backup role consistently running for his 3 yard gains but not getting enough carries for him to eventually get that 50 yarder? It would be pointless, LT is the better back up for us IMO

It's the fact that this shit has been repeated ad nauseum in the existing TJ threads and LT threads and LW threads. It is overkill.

    Thank you..the voice of reason...

I think with L t spelling greene and leon on 3rd down the jets have definitely upgrsded.

Also w l t running behind a run first line he will show he has more left than ppl think.

I also expect leon to be more in the mix at times thsn just 3rd down.

So now instead of TJ having a couple of tries at you to run you over, we have Shonn Greene who will run over you first try lol

These pointless threads don't affect any of our lives, but that doesn't change the fact that they are annoying as hell and a waste of space and time.

There's already 50,000 threads that have dealt with this exact topic.

Stop already, man. It's ridiculous. Take a walk or something. Your need for attention is getting out of hand.
