First look at the NFL and Nike's new "Rivalries" uniforms for the AFC East (Bills, Dolphins, Jets and Patriots) and NFC West (Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks and 49ers), which will be officially unveiled at 10 am: pic.twitter.com/m5BrFBgSnC — Andrew Lind (@AndrewMLind) August 28, 2025
https://x.com/nyjets/status/1961067554371154398 Reminds me of NFL Blitz 2000. Not for me but they aren't bad.
NFL blitz is a good call. I hate all of this shit to be honest though. Smart business strategy by the NFL to continue to try to drive new fans to the game and increase merchandise revenues with new options. It already pretty much plays as a scripted reality TV show so of course they have to dress them in new fashion outfits every year.
yeah…I get the marketing effort and revenue it brings to the league, but honestly I’m not a big fan … they have too many alternates already, and trying to tie in some kind of “rivalry” angle just seems stupid and doesn’t make much sense anyway. We are NY whether we are playing the Dolphins or the Cardinals…what does it matter? I like teams having throwbacks available, because honestly, what Nike has done with most of the uniforms is not great, and most of the teams’ throwbacks look WAY better than the current ones…I’m glad we went back to a throwback…we look MUCH better now than before…I would have gone back to the Namath look, but with the way jerseys are cut with no sleeves these days, it doesn’t work as well as it did back then, but still. I think there is a lot to be said for teams like the Steelers, Packers, Bears, Raiders, Colts, etc. who have stayed with a proven classic look and it just works. New doesn’t always equal better.
How long until we have a different uni for every single game? I hate the way this waters down the brand. We used to play in green and white.
These jerseys are just market research to see if the team should re-brand and change colors. Blue and Steel Gray here we come.
Personally I’m fine with white pants + green jerseys and the Dolphins in all white as it should be…. For all you old timers that was what the Jets and Dolphins wore every time they played each other during the Walt Michaels years…until the Friday night game in 1983. Because it was a night game in Miami the Dolphins chose to wear aqua jerseys. I was a kid but remember how strange it looked on tv. Halfway thought the game I pointed it out to my dad he says “Is that the problem? I was trying to figure what looked so off I thought the tv was going bad”…. Lol
They're ok though I wouldn't buy one, but then I'm a traditionalist in many things. (I'd prefer the white Broadway Joe helmets, for example). I'm cool with change if it is for a genuine benefit, but this is clearly a dollar motivated initiative and no more or less. Count me out. I'm far to old to be wearing replica game jerseys as it is. Tee-shirts, caps and hoodies for me.
They look terrible. Maybe the goal was to make our new black helmet/jersey/pants combo look better. If so, then these new uniforms are a complete success. The fact that they weren’t for sale immediately upon announcement is rather curious as well. First time I can remember seeing that, at least for the Jets.
I agree. They never should have changed the 1998-2018 unforms. I'm glad they at least got rid of the uniforms and logo they just had (the 2019-2023 ones) and went to the 1980s ones, but I still prefer the 98-18 ones. Of the new logos, however, I like the NY with the jet tail over the top. I'd like them to make that the primary logo, then put it on 98-18 uniforms.
