It is so simple it so shocking that all you supposed FB mavins do not see it 1) Get us a owner who cares about winning & has some smarts 2) Then that owner with smarts goes out & has a GM that has smarts 3) Then that GM with smarts goes out & hires a 1st class HC with smarts 4) That HC with smarts has hired coaches that also have smarts & voila in short order we will have a top of the line team. Until this occurs we will just continue to tread water IMHO
Woody is a fine owner he just makes bad hiring decisions like Leon used to. We are bottom feeders because Mac is a shitbag that 3 years after him being hired, the team is WORSE than at any time since about 2003. Mac = Terry Bradway Toilet sucks as a HC and should have been fired long ago. He only exacerbates an already poor situation.
We're a bottom feeder because we continue to employ defensive HC's who focus on defense rather than getting a legit young QB in the building. Woody is woody, probably more worried about making money and being in NY headlines but he has poured a shit ton of money into the team and has built up the training facilities to be some of the best in the league. Now that he's in the UK, he isn't the reason. Ultimately, its all about drafting and since we've drafted defense in the first round for ages and don't have a #1 defense, we continue to wiff on 2nd round pick, our QB selections are garbage. This is the reason. We continue to be to good enough to have a #1 pick, but bad enough to get a 5th or 6th pick.

Woody takes too much abuse for sure. His heart is in the right place though he has just been to loyal to a few employees and it set us back a bit, namely Rex and bradway( how someone gets fired for being a bad gm and stays in the organization is beyond me.) Let's stop blaming the whole universe. First - An owner does not have the HC report directly to him instead of the GM unless he is the GM like Jones. That is a massive fuck up. Second - As a result, we have a HC that is massively over his head, fighting for survival, and no intention to field a team that is best for the future Thirdly - Drafting another QB, or two or three will have the same result unless you fix one and two Lastly - We are getting out coached and out schemed and out played every second half of every single game. A new QB will not fix that. nor will a new GM IMO to fix the problem. Put the GM in charge. Get a HC staff that knows how to coach and adjust. If the GM fails at that fire his ass for legitimate cause.

All the names change but not the results. The owner is the only constant. That said, what did you expect this year? Its a rebuilding year. None of these loses bother me in the least. We lack talent all over the place. We are a lousy team and my biggest concern is the HC is doing a good job and we are going to be resign him for 3 more years. We need a QB friendly coach and a god damm QB. I refuse to let these loses bother me

Woody Johnson is not a fine owner. He didn't buy the Jets to lose, but he's easily led by the nose. I keep threatening to lay out the bare bones of Willet's Pt., but yeah, he's easily led by the nose. We are stuck in the flavorless New Dump until year 25 and being tied to the Maras.
