I remember when fans of the Yankees/Mets and Red Sox were laughing their ass off @ me because I made it known that I was taking Longoria with my 1st overall pick for my fantasy baseball team. I remember someone on here saying how Longoria would be an average "3rd-5th round pick" and another fan saying that he would love to be in the same league as me so he can watch me "Cripple" my chances of winning. Look who just earned the award for the player of the month. Longoria.

I seen what Longoria did last year as a rookie, I seen how gifted this kid is as an athlete and I know talent when I see it. I knew this kid would be a special talent for years to come and thats a huge reason why he took home the R.O.Y award there in 2008.

Not only did I pick Longoria with my 1st overall pick, but I also picked up Carlos Pena with my 3rd overall pick and guess who I picked with my 2nd overall pick? A.Rod. All I had to do was manage to get by until May and now look...I have a potential MVP in Longoria, I have a HOF player in A-Rod who should smash around 30-40 HR's here in 09 and I also have an all star player in Carlos Pena. Longo-A-Rod-Pena...What a lineup!

But I could care less about Fantasy baseball, The Rays have the best 1-2 punch going here in 2009 with Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena, hands down, and it's exciting, I'm loving it. 10 days ago, we were sitting in last place and like 7 games back of Boston. I seen some fans around here laughing and counting this team out, I was amazed...How can you count out the AL Champions during the 1st 20 games? lol. Now look @ my team...3rd place, only 4 1/2 behind Boston with a CHANCE to cut that lead down to 1 1/2 and we are also on a 3 game winning streak after starting off really slow. The Rays are back baby! We are also 5-2 against Boston this year.

Longoria- .368 batting average, .416 on base %, .754 slugging %, 10 HR's with 38 RBI's...Are you kidding me? He's about to pull a Dustin Pedroia- R.O.Y, followed by an MVP.

    Carlos Pena- .266 batting average, .375 on base %, .688 slugging %, 13 HR's with 30 RBI's...Wow.

Longo and Carlos combined- Average of .317 batting average, average of .395 on base %, 23 HR's with 68 RBI's? After only 30 games? Amazing.

The best 1-2 Punch as 3-4 hitters in the game today. Manny and Ortiz? A thing of the past, these two are the current Beast's of the East.

On a side note: What about Crawford and his 6 stolen bases against Boston baby?!? Just tied an MLB record for most stolen bases in a single game, ever. Last year he only had 25 stolen bases all of last year because he was playing hurt but you know what? The best overall Left Fielder is BACK! 20 Stolen bases ALREADY here in 2009! I love it. He's 20/20 in that category.

you seen? you seen? Speak english first of all. Secondly, can you wait until your team is at least .500 before you start your nonsense? Can you wait until you straighten out your pitching staff before you start with the "I told you so's"? Why must you draw attention to yourself at the most inopportune moments?

it's hard to make the playoffs with a sub .500 record, Philly Stacks.....so you can save all your statistical stories for somebody who gives a fiddlers' shit about them.....because they're useless here.

    Just a little baseball 101 for you there...from a Canadian...free of charge.

The Rays started off 9-11 last year after our first 20 games. We got hot and were sitting @ 2 games above .500 last year after 30 game then guess what? This young, talented, explosive team with elite starting pitching and a dangerious lineup took off and NEVER looked back.

Thats whats going on right now in 2009. Get used to it.

We were actually 8-12 after our first 20 games of the year and now we are only 2 games below .500 after 30 games and guess what? We just now started to get hot and can you guess whats about to happen? The Rays are about to TAKE OFF, and never look back here in 2009. Over the past week, the Rays have went 5-1 against the Red Sox and Yankees.

See ya after the game tonight, when the Rays will only be 1 game below .500 then I'll see ya tomorrow night when the Rays are at .500...Then we can talk

Oh yeah, without elite starting pitching...The Jays wont make here in 2009. I see them with a 4th place finish behind the Rays, Sox and Yankees.
