Here is the latest on Peyton Manning and it ain't good: ESPN 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis reports Sunday that Colts QB Peyton Manning needs another surgery on his injured neck. The report says he is out indefinitely, though the team would not officially comment on the matter. Manning has undergone two procedures in the last year-and-a-half, and the latest one caused him to miss the majority of the preseason practices along with all the games. Based on this news were do the following Colts rank now (assume 1 PPR)? QB Peyton Manning QB Whoever is the # 2 QB in Indy WR Reggie Wayne WR Pierre Garcon WR Austin Collie WR Anthony Gonzales WR Blair White TE Dwight Clark TE Jacob Tamme RB Joseph Addai RB Donald Brown RB Delone Carter FB Rob Gronkowski Very few guys could shake up a mock draft like him. The Colts have been fantasy gold for a long time.
well obviously rob gronkowski is still a top 3 pick.after that reggie wayne and dallas clarke are the only starters
that news is bogus, dude totally backtracked on what he said. he might miss week 1 though. i'm fuckin nervous though. got wayne and clark in 1 of my leagues.
Collins is getting 4 million to come out of retirement and play till Manning is ready. How good a deal is that?
Collins is old as shit but i think you guys are underrating him a bit. the last 4 weeks of 2010 he averaged about 225 yards and 2 tds a game with Kenny Britt and a bunch of really shitty receivers/mediocre tight end. give him dallas clark, reggie wayne, and austin collie and he'll be serviceable
News is bogus huh? How about this? The ever-changing story of Peyton Manning's(notes) future in the NFL just took a very bad turn. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Manning underwent cervical fusion surgery on Thursday morning, a procedure that will put him out of the game for at least 2-3 months. This follows a May 23 surgery to repair a bulging disc in his neck. The report has been confirmed by the Associated Press.
Assuming he is taken off the do not cut list by Yahoo, how long do you wait before cutting him? If that is you are foolish enough to keep him at all.
in a 1 qb league you cut him. in a 2 Qb league you give up a bench spot for the chance of 6-7 games from him.
6 to 7 seems very optimistic. This same surgery has ended careers. I think he gets shut down for the season if the first 5 games go lousy.
I'm pretty sure it was merely speculative at the time those rumors were flying. No credible news source had that information. In the end, did they guess correctly? sure did.
Where there is smoke there is fire. I am glad I am not the sap that drafted him in my fantasy league last night.
well it was bogus, the guy said Manning had a secret surgery on the holliday weekend qhich was a lie.
