With all the garbage posts going on in this forum, just remember the following:

    0 divisions game played

    Only 1 loss in AFC

AFC east has no clear runaway team this year.

    --------------------------

We played four quality games to start the season, unfortunately got hit with a lot of bad luck and a lot of bad officiating to end up 1-3.
    -----------------------

    Defend home court.

    Defend the AFC east games.

I was saying something similar last week. But what happened this weekend has changed my perspective a bit. I have never thought Geno was sincere in his so called humility at press conferences, but I do not care about that that much. Athletes are phonies anyway. Missing this meeting for the reason he claims? I don not want my QBs to be that stupid. And if he is lying about the time being the reason, then I do not want my QBs to be that arrogant. On the road, in a hotel, and you miss the pre game meeting? Then go out and play like a Pop Warner QB? I did not see a team having a bad day Sunday. I saw a team quit Sunday.

We are currently 1-4 and would likely have to get to 9 wins to have a realistic chance at the playoffs, maybe 8 wins and some luck. That means we have to go 8-3 or at the very least 7-4 for the remainder of the season. We still have to play the Broncos and the Pats twice. Hell, we'd be lucky to split the series between the Bills and Dolphins. In divisional games this year we'll be lucky to get 2 or 3 wins so it's basically game over right there.

I appreicate your optimism but you have to be realistic or you're just going to end up being hurt later.

I don't think it's fair to judge geno when he has the worst receiving corpse in the NFL with a bottom 10 o-line in the NFL.

Really hoping decker is healthy sunday. It's a day and night difference for geno when he is healthy and on the field compared to when he is not.

They are dead in the water, big time.

They will lose sunday to Manning of course: 1-5
They will lose on the road to NE on thursday night, everyone loses on the road on thursdays: 1-6
Then you have to factor in Rex Ryan's annual stinker loss after a bye (this year @ Buffalo) 7 losses.
Then you have to factor in Rex Ryan's annual stinker vs. Miami: 8 losses
After that, with 8 losses nothing else matters.

Those are just the surefire, no doubt about it losses. Anyone really think this team is going to beat Pittsburgh? Win on the road in KC? Sweep back to back road games in Minny and Ten? Hell no.

After the Broncos this Sunday, we are no longer playing pass-heavy offenses with elite qb's.

All our games will be against run-heavy teams.

If you've been watching the past five games, you'll understand how this plays against our strengths, and no longer our weaknesses.

If we continue to stop the run and pressure the qb(where we lead the league), I think opposing teams will have a really hard time winning.

You would have to question the sanity of a coach, who with a team that is likely to be 1-6, would do his usual "Let's give the players the full bye week off" routine. If he threw up a San Diego like stinker after the Bye week against the Bills, I think he would be let go after the game.

Doubt Rex would give team a full week but they have to get 4 consecutive days off either way per the CBA. Plus Buffalo is coming off a Thursday nighter so the advantage is small.

If by some miracle we do make the playoffs, we'll be playing the teams (or teams with similar qualities) that we've hit on this 'rough stretch'. Simply put, we're not competitive in any part of the field unless we make some large gains in the second half of the season.

Maybe you've heard of this QB in New England named "Tom Brady"?

I think it ends up being disadvantageous to have all divisional games still ahead of the Jets right now. Even in good years divisional games are tough. When was the last time the Jets swept Miami, even when Miami has been mediocre at best for a long time now? And the Pats looked good against the still don't like big games Bungles. And Buffalo? Buffalo? The Bills might sweep the Jets if the Jets continue starting Smith.

I think the season is over. In fact the Jets could lose their next five games.

Isn't he that 6th round pick starting instead of their second round pick Garoppolo ?
