Call Harbaugh and give him whatever he wants and full control. He gets to pick the GM and runs the show. He is a dick but he is a passionate dick and at this point that is what we need. Hopefully he hires a great DC like Gus Bradley when he gets fired since he will most likely not get another HC job and he built the Seattle defense and is a great DC but not HC. Make the call Woody or continue making this franchise a total joke.
I would literally bet 10,000 dollars (that's alot for me) this does not happen. I am not kidding, I would take that gamble, and I would bet half of that he doesn't leave Michigan at all this year (still a lot of money for me). If he actually did leave, what is enticing about the Jets that would make him come here? He would pick about 29 teams over the Jets if he did actually want to come back to the NFL.
Hardbaugh has never stayed anywhere longer then 4 years....He has been at Michagan for two years so if he does leave it wont happen for a few years. And im not sure the contract he signed
Harbaugh isn't going anywhere. He's at his dream job and wants to win a national title there, if not multiple. At this point, I would inquire about McDaniels but doubt he would choose the Jets as his next HC gig. I'd offer Cowher or Coughlin the job to get this thing on the right footing.
He's not leaving Michigan before winning a national championship. That would be three teams he's left before winning one. No way he lets that happen. When he wins one with Michigan within the next three or four years we can maybe talk.
Yeah. He's going to uproot his family and give up a 9 million dollar pay day at his alma mater. Next.....
Is there a third Harbaugh brother we could call? Maybe one who's a little slow, plays a lot of Madden, but would still be an upgrade over Bowles?
If we do have a new head coach it absolutely, without question, MUST be an offensive mind. It's been so long and we need to develop a QB to be good for a long time. The regular season is about putting up points in todays NFL. I'm so sick of ground and pound, long drives and eating clock to get a field goal. Let's use the young QBs strengths and develop an explosive offense that we had when Ken O'Brien was the QB with Wesley Walker, Al Toon, Mickey Schuler, Freeman McNeil, Johnny Hector. When was our last offensive hire: Bowles, Ryan, Mangini - the list goes on.
This is true, but he's kept OSU in the conversation every season he's been there. While the Dolphin experiment didn't pan out, the second time around I have a feeling Saban might be able to pull it off. I have a feeling Saban would be more successful than Chip Kelly was in Philly.
