I figured somebody would start this thread eventually so i figured i'd do it. Im also almost positive some people will take this thread seriously, and ill find it hilarious and it will take my mind off this awful, awful game. PS. Im kinda hung over and just realized i spelt brett favre wrong....sue me.
The playcalling was awful in the first half. We aren't utilizling our players properly including Favre. We should be doing a lot more running with some play actions thrown in. The first int looked like miscommunication between Cotchery and Favre with some pressure. The second int was a bad decision by Favre, he should have just taken the sack. The o-line hasn't been very impressive. Our D and kicking game is sucking as much as our offense. I don't care who are QB is, we'd still be struggling right now.
Let's see. Last week everyone bitched about the playcalling because the Jets ran too much. This week they bitch becuause they throw too much. No pleasing Jet fans or the media. If we win both games no one says a thing. A loss and a tie at half and everyone's an expert. hmy: :wink:
Seems most fans are dismisisng this. I am glad, because Favre can not be fully blamed for the offensive woes. Guess what, Favre came to town and suddenly the jets are scoring points. The fact they can't seem to score enough half the time and drives just completely stop seems to come back to horrible play calling. To this point, one has to say the jets have been scoring way more at this point then last season. It would just be nice for consistency from the play callers.
How about tailoring the gameplan towards the team you're playing against???? How about making in-game ADJUSTMENTS once in a blue moon???? How about thinking instead of following the script??? How about being flexible? How about not being dysfunctional as a CS?
Heresy!!!!! To be an effective coach, you must come up with the most far out, bizarre, and downright strange play calls to beat your opponent.
Favre sucks, plain and simple. We are just not a good team.These fuckin' interceptions are inexcusable.
