Now that this season is over and we will most likely need a quarterback, may i suggest throwing some cash at the great Matt Cassel. The kid is a stud. hes young, hes poised, and hes probably going to the playoffs thanks to us. he stepped into a horrible spot and turned it into gold. this is the kind of guy i want taking snaps for my team. i know ratliff looked good in the preseason but i think he needs a few more years. lets fill that gap with the matt cassel era. whos with me?
System QB? There's no doubt that MC has played great for NE, in a very difficult spot. However, I fear that his success is a function of playing for the Belichick-Pats system, and that his performance outside of this system will decline. Besides...does anything ever work out for the Jets?
The problem with getting Cassel is he'll be running the Jets offense and not the Pats. He won't have Moss or Welker or Faulk to make life easier....
This is all premature. I'm still REAAAAAALLY excited that I'll get to see seven Jets enjoying themselve in Hawaii at the Pro Bowl. That's gonna make up for a lot. :roalize:
seriously, this is getting stupid. Besides the new england coaching staff could make me a decent quarterback if they wanted to. Why do you think chad is doing great this year, they have a good coaching staff down in miami. Ours cant do it with brett favre.
Of course he'll be available. Unless the Pats know for certain the Brady can't play they aren't gonna franchise him for $12 mil while they still are paying Brady $13 mil. I just wonder what the Jets cap situation is gonna be with all the scratch they threw at FA's this past offseason. You really can't go after big money FA's every year.
i think a kid like him would look great in a bill cowher type system. cmon people lets get this revolution in gear
Sorry .. That train left a long time ago .. You can keep him .. Back in the day I always thought he would take over in NE after BB left or retired ...
He actually reminds me of Ken O'Brien. Nothing spectacular, but he's accurate, smart and he gets the job done.
