anyone who thought that a guy with a personal and financial interest in a prominent MLB team was gonna go searching for roids users in his own organization is an idiot.
youd be crying too if some douchbag fucked your team in the ass. the main steroid dealer in this case was a mets employee, yet no prominent mets are named.....wonder if he "forgot" any names. this whole report is bullshit since none of these guys were under oath and the people interviewed were picked by a subjective committee.
He named a bunch of guys who have/do play for the Sox. He also implicated the Red Sox General Manager in knowingly acquiring steroid users. I don't see the problem.
Maybe because no prominent Mets used? The only prominent Yankee was Pettitte and the other main guy was a Yankee employee. And he has Pettitte doing it with Houston.
brendan donnelly and gagne were the only prominent sox i saw on the list, yet they were only with the organization for 1 year. not exactly earthshattering.
Duquette was right! Rogahhh was in the "twilight of his career". His whole comeback in Toronto was a FRAUD.
clemens, pettitte, sheffield, kevin brown, mike stanton, chuck knoblach, david justice, ron villone, jason giambi. all at one time or another prominent yankees.
What the heck was he supposed to do? Make sure each team had an equal number of users and that their star-power levels matched up? Or is it just division rivals that needed to match up? Jesus H. Christ, dude. He had no power to subpoena people. He took what he could get, and it happened that the ex-Yankee and ex-Met employees were two of the more prolific sources of information he had. The information is useless anyhow. Everyone knows that it's an incomplete list, so damage to the team's reputation is minimal... and it's not like the Yankees or any of their players are going to be otherwise penalized for having their names included in this report. What's the big deal?
Yeah, that was a total waste of my time listening. Like you said, no shit, kids are using steroids because their heroes are. Um, thanks Capt. Obvious!
Did you know steroids are bad for you? As I was telling my friend while we were watching it: "You know BALCO? Victor Conte? He was supplying undetectable performance-enhancing substances! Isn't that amazing?"
If I worked at ESPNews or YES, I would've taken a telestrator and drawn BORING on Mitchell's forehead. There has been widespread use of performance enhancing steroids in Major League Baseball? Really? Why hasn't anyone told me this?
