    Moves are going crazy today!

Capitals have signed Justin Peters and Brooks Orpik.

    Ryan Miller to the Canucks.

    Jonas Hiller to the Flames.

    Brian Gionta to the Sabres.

Plus many more. Post here whatever moves you want to talk about.

Caps giving Orpik 5 years, 27.5 million is my biggest concern of the day. Way too much.

Dominic Moore, Tanner Glass and Dan Boyle all to Rangers. Nice contracts too. (Unlike Orpik)

I am liking the Penguins today. Letting their trash go, signing Ehrhoff. Should be a solid team this year.

Niskanen signing makes up for the Orpik one...... Kinda.

I think the Oilers can really make a push for 24th overall in the league after today. Fayne, Pouliot, Purcell, some other jabroni. Should be fun potentially cracking 75 pts this year.

Hopefully Ryan Miller tanks in Vancouver and that team is a cellar dweller with us for the next bit.

It was a crazier first day of Free Agency than usual. The Caps are on most people's FA Losers list. No doubt due to the Orpik contract. Classic Caps. Still, I think they have a great chance to compete in the East this year. Barry Trotz philosophy should make the Caps better. Time will tell.

WOWZA Capitals clearly are going balls deep with their signings

7 years $40.75 million for Niskanen

5 years and $27.5 million for Orpik

    DAMN, my condolences TDK

lol yeah, It is a lot. Especially for 2 Penguins from a team who didn't have the greatest D last year. If history tells us anything, it is that the Caps know what they are doing. So no need to question these moves. Oh wait a sec..................

Yeah Spezza was a sick pickup for Dallas. They got Hemsky too, top two lines looking awesome there with Seguin and Benn as the future.

Unbelievable. They are shopping Boychuck and the Oilers don't even kick the tires for the hometown guy in a position of need. This team is more incompetent than the fuckin NYJ.

Getting Boychuk was a great deal by the Islanders. Leddy wasn't a bad deal, but I don't think he's as good as some people think.

    TODAY IS THE WINTER CLASSIC!
Blackhawks. Capitals. Live from Nats Park! Should be fun. Wish I could have scored a ticket but it did not happen.

It was a very good game, I prefer when it snows though.

Next year my islanders will be there.
