With the 4th pick overall in the 2007 draft, the Bucs select: The best player available: Jamarcus Russell, QB LSU Jeff Garcia isnt young...Chris Simms just isnt the answer and Russell just fell to number 4...amazing...
As much as I hate this pick, it's really the only option...The Cardinals take Jamall Anderson, DE, Arkansas
The Washington Redskins select Alan Branch, DT, Michigan. (Dont know how to post a pic...sorry) It's the only thing that make sense for the Redskins. They need DLine help and Branch is the best available. They had to make this one count considering they don't have another until the 5th round.
With the #7 pick, the Vikings continue to follow their precedent of being the team that throws the first serious wrench in the works, and select... WR Robert Meachem, Tennessee This kid's on his way up the draft boards, it will seem a lot more likely come April, trust me on that.
With the 8th overall selection, the Houston Texans select: Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame He will be a great pro, he is raved about by Charlie Weis and he knows his stuff. Texans are extreamly pleased that he has fallen this much. Now they can try to send Carr elsewhere for something.
With the 10th pick in the draft, the New England Patriots select: Laron Landry, S, LSU The Patriots have gone into this draft with basically all thier needs filled. If any team, this was the team that could sacrafice depth for a big time player. Landry will fill in for sub-par Artrell Hawkins at FS, and will be able to take over the secondary once Rondey Harrison leaves. Landry is by far the best DB in this draft and will for sure help the Patriots for many, many years.
There, I did it, now let's get this thing moving. If we don't hear from twombles, we should offer up his spot...any takers?
With the 18th pick the Bengals select... Patrick Willis LB Mississippi Patrick Willis is the complete package at linebacker. He has the toughness, instincts, and run stopping ability to play inside, but the athleticism, speed, and cover ability to play outside. He is quick to react to the play, and flies to the ball carrier with authority. Willis also shows the ability to play in space and read the quarterback, and the cover ability to stick with backs and tight ends. He is a mature football player, and a team leader.
