The Offensive Line Was Very Poor Today

Brett had no time to throw all day. There was no pocket for him to throw in, and he is a pocket passer. Brett was moving around all day long, with guys in his face on every passing down. Damien Woody played horribly today.

Such a shame that you spend all that money on a new O-Line and it performs like that. Our scounting staff bit the big one on this.

Maybe in the passing game, but Jones ran for what....165 yards.

Woody was downright lazy, should have brought out a lazyboy chair and sat his butt on that because that's all he did ALL DAY.

Have a hard time classifying 242 yards rushing, and averaging over 7 yds/ carry as a horrible day for the line. Actually thought they gave Favre plenty of time expect for 1-2 series. In overtime, we were picking up blitzes well, but the QB/ Receiver communication and familiarity, along with a bit of bad luck, killed us. The plays were there to make.

Mangold and even Moore did their jobs. Heck D'Brick did his thing even though he didnt face a good DE but it was Faneca who was dreadful today, letting a rookie DT get in his face and grab onto Favre. 2 sacks by a scrub ass rookie? Seriously Faneca?

Isnt this guy the highest paid O-Lineman in the game? Seriously, what the heck has he been doing this year?

That's what was so screwed up about this game.

Pass protection was our strong suit in the previous 5 games. Our running game was not performing well

Plus, Leon Washington was arguable our better back the past few games, and today he looked far inferior to TJ.

I would call alot of that coverage sacks. He had 5 or so seconds a few times and still got sacked.

I would call it holding the ball to long

Can't argue with that, either way, the oline held as long as they could.

Quite frankly I thought that a lot of the time Favre was holding on the to the ball for a while back there. Besides a few obviously pass blocking breakdowns, I would classify more of the pressure as coverage pressure - I would assume that the WR's were unable to get open deep.

When the other team, the announcers, the fans and the cheerleaders all know what type of play you're gonna run, of course you're not going to be very successful. The problem today wasn't the OLine, it was the OC..

We just can't win with the all the turnovers. Favre needs to play smarter, he cannot just throw the ball away to the other team.

If you expected the 5 man up front to block 6-7 (at times 8) 260+ lbs defenders flying at a full speed, you are seriously delusional. That's what pitch/toss plays are for. Did Jets call it? When?

*This OC simply lacks proper reasoning to be there. He must go NOW.*

Also, it was very obvious from the 1st quarter that the raiders were determined to shut down the passing game. How about some draws? Why did they have to play straight into Raiders' gameplan? That's called incompetence.
