The next two weeks will be very interesting. The combine starts Tuesday, Franchise and Transition Tags are assigned by Thursday, owners and players need to hammer out a new CBA, and Free Agency starts March 3rd. We should know something about Chad's contract and Abraham's trade status and the way the new regime is going to go about their business. Nothing like the NFL in season but the offseason is pretty good on it's own.
The offseason is like a 32-player chess tournament, all playing simultaneously, and we're only allowed to see an eighth of each board. It's all speculation on the part of the media and the draftnicks.
I read today (I think the Daily News) that both sides are really against pushing free agency back, even if they are close on a new CBA.
