Since the old thread is gone, I have decided to resurrect this thread as this was among the closest, highly contested polls in the history of The Gang Green BS board. Besides, we have some new blood on the boards that may not have chimed in before. The question that caused the massive debate is simple: Which movie was better: National Lampoon's Animal House or Caddyshack?
As good as Animal House was, there will never be another Caddyshack. There were SO MANY huge stars in that movie that all delivered at the absolute top of their game.
"I want a hamburger. No, cheeseburger. I want a hot dog. I want a milkshake. I want potato chips......"
I think there's an age divide here. I once asked a friend if he had seen Animal House. His answer: "I didn't have to, I lived it." He was right. He was a fraternity president at Rutgers and his nickname was "Piggy."
I liked Animal House but I loved Caddyshack..... like was said so many stars who just delivered. Chase was on his game Bill Murray maybe the best character he's ever played and he played quite a few great characters Dangerfield at his best Ted Knight was such an ass And my favorite underrated actor who always makes me laugh Bryan Doyle-Murray
I get better food at the ball game. This steak still has marks on it where the jockey was hitting it. Tell the chef this is low grade dogfood!
Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Animal House is just plain epic. For some reason, I just don't enjoy Caddyshack that much.
Over? did you say over? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Best pep talk ever. Animal House by a mile.
