Mike Francessa is reporting that Kiffin will be fired after Oakland plays KC today.

KC is going to crush them today, what a mess.

I think Francessa said Al Davis wanted him to resign last year, but he refused... hahaha. So now they are firing him. It was a money issue I believe.

Just a thought, who the hell do they think will replace him? Not even a crappy high school coach would want to be a part of that disaster of an organization.

Jim Fassel is the first choice.

The raiders "team", and I use that term loosely, under control of Country Club Jim Fassel? With the Giants he let the inmates run the asylum, and players walked all over him.

It could be a disaster of epic proportions, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Guess who else would be high in the running. The Raiders' current offensive consultant *cough* *cough* Paul Hackett *cough* *cough*

The Raiders are such a mess. I'd say they were becoming the new Cardinals, except Al will spend money (unwisely) whereas the Bidwells won't.

Raiderjoe is interested. Al Davis is giving him serious consideration.

Darksider alert- This does give jeaux an out for the quality of play though. Indulge me if you will.

You think the Raider are really his bad?Kiffin was just sabotaging AL daviis. He tanks games because he wanted to get back at Raider.(Davis wouldn't fire ryan) Now that Kiffin is gone, Raider can go back to domiinating teams with their run game. (3to4 head monster). Raider pass coverage D (expperts say championship calibur) is coming on ad you can take that to the bank. Chiiefs will be lucky to get 25 passing yards, and DMcFadden will be back in ROY contintion.

i wouldn't mind seeing kiffin employed on the jets coaching staff. he's a smart young guy, he was just in a no win situation.

I would assume Rob Ryan. Big Al soils his Depends over him.

which would be an "odd" choice...since Rob Ryan interviewed for the HC position and lost out to Kiffin. If he wasn't good enough then...why would he be good enough now?

Then again...Davis is a senile bastard....so i guess anything goes.

Don't worry Joe. The Raiders will have their day. Likely in 15 years, when old Al can't hang on anymore and croaks. But hey, that isn't too long of a wait... is it?
