It doesn't show Joe Klecko's retired #73 and it doesn't include Eric Mangini's record from 2007. He's 14-18 overall in the regular season.
You meant "1995-96." 1989, 1992, 1995, 2005, and 2007 were really dreadful for me. 1996 was kind of funny to me.
theres no humor in going 1-15, just pure misery, you never wanna be the laughing stock of the league, we have had some bad teams, but i think 95 and 96 was the only two times we were the laughing stock
ugh i hate seeing these. hate to see 0 conference championships! hate to see 4 count em 4 fuckin division championships. then the coaches records, also painful!!! when its looked at al groh has the 2nd best winning percentage of any jets coach. jeepers creepers!!!!
Actually it needs to say 2 league championships: 1968 AFL and 1968 NFL. or Call the 68 AFL title a Conference championship with an asterisk to explain. 48 seasons and only 9 double-digit winning ones. 11-3 12-4 11-5 10-4 10-5-1 10-6 (3 times(
By 1996 we kind of knew better days would be ahead though. Even for us, we knew 1-15 was the bottom, Kotite would be gone, we had some good young players and the #1 pick on the way. I think 1995 was actually a worse team and overall a more depressing year. Even though the record was slightly better, one of the wins was at home against the Jags in their third ever game.
the kotite teams actually had some talent and the 4-28 record is more a function of coaching, preparation, and strategy........ that falls right on the owner who made the hire..... jil
I have posted this stat over & over again so it was no wake up call for me. But I thank KYJ for posting it since it makes believers of the former non belivers of just how bad we have been thru the years. Another most negative stat is we have never/ever won a AFC championship since the AFL & NFL merged. During that same period we have been AFCE champs a big 2 times.
we are one of the worst franchises in all of sport. bad. dont we also have llike the 2nd worst home record in the NFL over the last 15 years or something...I think the bungles had the worst.I remember seeing something like that a couple years ago. look it up cakes
A lot of us have lived it with you, champ. At least you were around when they actualy won the one time, so if anything you should be one of the less angry people here. For the majority of us it's been an entire lifetime of this shit with no break.
It wouldn't surprise me, considering we haven't really had a home since 1983. And most of the time we had that one we couldn't play there the first month of the season.
I know our record at Shea & the M/lands is more/less the same which would certainly put us in the under 500 status in both stadiums
