I finally got the discs for the DVD, everything on it is awesome. From the Weeb era all the way to Mangini. They also have the Midnight Miracle, the 1998 season highlights, The Coaches. Everything about it is awesome. Love seeing the Dolphins players cry on the field.
^ I was given that for my birthday at the end of last year, and just got around to watching it last week.... It's definitely an excellent set. I think I commented on this right after I watched it, but Winston Hill in SBIII absolutely put on the most dominating performance I've ever seen by a single OL. Almost 40 years later, and knowing by heart the outcome, watching that play-by-play replay of SBIII I found myself jumping out of my seat whenever the defense made a play... There's a great quote from Johnny Sample on Earl Morrall in there too, that definitely can be applied to our current Qb situation... I'll see if I can find it later... Also- There is a quote from Mangini at the end of the first disk, from his introductory press conference with the Jets that I have been looking for ever since, because it was so laughable... It was something along the lines of: "We're going to look at our personnel and put in schemes that fit their strengths." I'm still trying to find the exact quote, but it's hysterical to hear Mangini say that after seeing what his CS has done over the last two years with the likes of Jonathan Vilma, Dewayne Robertson and others...
I was extremely disappointed in it actually. It was good but it could have been great. They even had a few things wrong in it. I don't remember specifically b/c I haven't watched the whole thing in a while but I think I commented on the specifics in the thread about it last year.
I agree! It was good for my wife who did not know a lot about the past, but I wanted more. Most of the content was taken from the season highlight videos.
Yep, it was mostly stuff we had seen just all together on the 2 disc set. I wanted new footage, meaningful interviews but we got the same old footage and fluff piece interviews w/ supposed Jet fans.
I was dissapointed as well............. same old stuff..... If I had access to NFL films, I GUARANTEE I could do a better history!
Going to get this for christmas. I have so much footage on something called video that I can't watch anymore...it will make a nice change.
