I don't really know what truth there is to the fact that Jerry Jones wants runDMC enough that he'll give up the farm for him, but what the hell just for fun I'm gonna say he trades the two 1s for #6 straight up. Not tremedous value but I think its still worth it for a team with holes like the jets even after FA.

    Jets Sign Pace

    Rd1a - James Hardy - WR
Big WR - Safety Blanket for Clemens

    Rd1b - Curtis Lofton - ILB
Thumping ILB to replace vilma. Can Shed blocks and smart player. Reminds me of Harris a lot.

    Rd2 - Carl Nicks - RT
Big RT to finish tranformation of OL (except RG). Ties with Callahan make him the pick.

    Rd4a - Adrian Arrington - WR
Good value and having too many big WRs is never a problem. Has been devalued by many draftniks, but I'd be shocked if teams don't draft him earlier than expected.

    Rd4b - Owen Schmidtt - FB
Top notch Blocking FB with great attitude for the game. Will be a tremendous help to the running game.

    Rd6 - Keilen Dykes - DE
Big 3-4 DE to add depth to the line.

    Rd7 - Dennis Dixon
Backup QB who will probably fall on draft day. I honestly don't think he'll last this far, but a leg injury to a mobile QB like dixon can be devastating.

    Depth Chart

    QB: Clemens/Pennington/Dixon
    RB: Jones/Washington
    FB: Scmidtt/Kowalewski
    WR: Coles/Cotchery/Hardy/Smith/Stuckey/Arrington
    TE: Baker/Pociask
    LT: Ferguson/Bender
    LG: Faneca/Montgomery
    C: Mangold
    RG: Moore
    RT: Nicks/Clement

    LE: Ellis/DeVito
    NT: Jenkins/Pouha/Moseley
    RE: Coleman/Dykes

    LOLB: Pace/Bowens
    ILB: Harris/Barton
    ILB: Lofton/Kassel
    ROLB: B.Thomas/Chatham

    CB: Revis/Poteat/Miller/Barrett
    FS: Rhodes
    SS: Elam/Smith

Thats a revamping of a team if i ever saw one. Our running game would be tremendously improved and our defense would actually be functional in stopping the run and pressuring the QB. I'd be excited.

If we pick up a fullback, I wouldn't mind Jacob Hester. I know he's not gonna be truckin' anybody, but I think Schotty could find some innovative ways to use him. We don't seem like a "Strong I" team anyway.

round four is too high for adrian arrington, and it's not worth it to take two WO's. I hate the idea of trading down. the jets are in prime position to get a superstar and yet they trade down for two average players? Plus, i doubt the cowboys make a last minute trade up. If dallas trades up it will happen a few days before draft day and they sure as hell won't trade up to #6. They'll probably trade up to oakland's spot because oakland seems like a team that would want to trade down. The best player that would fall to them would be a DT and McFadden. They locked up kelly to an absurd contract and have fargas and jordan. And that is too high for curtis lofton. he's not a first round prospect. no point in bringing in dixon and i doubt he falls there. carl nicks pick is alright. i'd much rather th jets go in FA for a RT considering the multitude of talent there is in this year's free agency.

Lofton would be a great pickup and seems made for the inside linebacker spot in the 3-4. Great choice there. Hardy is nice as well. Also consider Devin Thomas there.

Nicks might not be able to step right in, but he's a prototypical RT, as is Cherilus, and might end up being a steal.

Another WR? Coles-Cotchery-Hardy-Smith-Stuckey-Wright is spectacular and a top WR core. We could spend that pick in a better way.

I can't argue with Owen Schmitt...

Dykes is a nice pickup. I remember him from watching many WV games over the years. He should be a good fit.

Dixon is a nice project as well.

    Solid overall...

IBLEEDGREEN Are you from West Virgina? I feel like Schmitt is on everybody's wish list--instant fan favorite. I've paid a considerable amount of attention to Dykes, I believe him to be a viable 3-4 end, hard-working although not an eye-popping athlete.

Hooray for someone that knows that we need a good H-Back! Schmitt or Hillis, doesn't matter (though Schmitt would be preferable). I only wish that we still had a third rounder to guarantee getting one of the two. With two late first rounders I would really expect us to pick up a corner, and it has been mentioned that the Jets are interested in Dominique Rogers-Cromartie. It is also no secret that we've been pursuing good man-corners in free agency (with no success mind you).

With three late first-early second round picks, Dre Moore wouldn't be a surprise for me, either. I would be really surprised if we didn't draft a pass rusher at some point, too.

If we pull that trade with the Cowboys and don't draft Groves with one of those picks...

With that said, I wouldn't hate getting another CB and that 6'6 WR.

Nah I'm from LI, but go to school in Mass. Schmidtt and Dykes just both fit extremely well.

The Jets should definately take a look at Joe Flacco, the QB from Delaware. He has by far the strongest arm in the draft and I've seen him make throws that only a great player can make. His build and athletic talent alone are enough for the jets to take a shot at him
