Derick Ward Danny Ware Danny Woodhead _______________________________________ Ward off the Jets PS to backing up a superbowl winner to starting running back at TB. Ware off the Jets PS to backing up Bradshaw and part of the best Running game in the NFL Where will Woodhead end up?
Oh dear God. Can a mod please merge any Woodhead threads into one big "Danny Ware is hot (no homo)" thread?
Cleveland would be a good place for him if it weren't for Harrison. He'll catch on somewhere, I hope. The only team in our division that I can see taking him on, though, would be Buffalo.
I just dont get how they cut him after the last preseason game performance? what else could he had done. I think he goes to the pats or somewhere in our division.
Because they don't have unlimited roster spots and a future FB came free. No way does he go to the Pats.
Forte is a big power back who also has great hands. He is a 3 down back - a rarity in the NFL now. There is no way Woodhead spells Forte. He is too small for the Bears power running style and Forte is not coming off the field on third downs after catching 63 passes last year.
And everyone is making Derrick Ward out to be Jim Brown when he couldn't even win the starting job in Tampa. The Bucs are using three backs this season - Ward, Williams, and Graham and are alternating them by series!!!????
He's no Jim Brown, but don't underrate him. The Bucs have a new head coach who is trying to figure out what the hell he's doing. They're alternating by series to start the season. Cadillac will be out in 3 weeks if they run him hard and Graham was given every opportunity to become the future in the backfield last season and failed. All Ward did was rush for 1000 yards on fewer than 200 carries. He's the lead back in the committee by Week 5.
He's going to end up on the Giants, just like Derrick Ward and Danny Ware. The formula is RB with initials DW - Roster spot on the Jets + Roster spot on the Giants = suddenly successful career.
Curse? You act like Ware and Ward turned into monsters when they left. They were both backups. Which is what Woodhead is likely to be in his predictably short NFL career. He's a glorified mascot.
Change of pace slot reciever to create mismatches all over the field. Whoops - wrong wasted roster spot player
