I'll pray nightly for no 2009 1st rounder.

With the 64th selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select...

So you'd give up a first round pick even if you lost in the Super Bowl?

well if we lost the superbowl its only a 31st that we're losing. who cares, thats practically a second. and we'd get to see our savior in the superbowl!

How many jet fans would kill themselves if we made it to the superbowl only to lose it and our first rounder..i dont even want to think about this right now...

in a heart beat...phrasing the question that way is slanted
b/c if we are playing in the superbowl...you know every Jets fan would be excited as hell and on the edge of our seat...and regardless of result it would be the 2nd best Jets season ever...
so we lose...but we still won the AFC...Pats and colts can be silenced for a year...and favre likely would be up for 1 more shot

Fuck yeah...Getting their would mean getting past New England, Indianapolis, San Diego, Pittsburgh, etc...

Post 1970 Jets fans have NEVER seen them in a Superbowl...

No 1st round pick is worth the buildup and excitement of a Superbowl...

I've seen them win a Super Bowl. And losing that game would have been nothing. Unless you win it, you're just like the other 30 teams that didn't get the trophy.

Man are you bitter. The question, as framed, by the way, is irrational, but don't let that get in the way of your unrelenting need to score points against every single attribute of this deal.

Sorry, I have no clue about that which you are talking. But it seems that everyone who's against this deal is somehow perceived as an idiot on this board.

    That's why I stated post 1970...

Sorry man...No ROOKIE 1st round pick is going to keep me away from wanting a Superbowl appearance...No way in hell.

You'd rather keep a 1st round pick than appear in a Superbowl? I'm sure that 31st pick is going to be more valuable than GETTING to the big game...Come on.

would you give up a first round pick to watch the Jets lose 84-0 in the most embarrassing superbowl loss of all-time...and your favorite Jets player suffers a career ending injury in the game?....and the team that beats us...is the LIONS! and/or qb'd by Chad Pennington...
