The Colts just did an onside kick that was executed EXACTLY like we did to them in our game last year. Lined up like a normal kick, kicked it into the ground toward the sideline and where the ball is there is a guy running to field it with guys in front of him blocking off players trying to get the ball. I watched the Colt game enough to tell you this was a straight bite. The way we did it was drawn up by Westhoff and executed perfectly. What's funny is that if you rewatch the game from last year there are times where Dungy looked pissed that we were running a hurry up, the onside kick and the KO return by Miller. Everytime they showed him he looked sour. You even read his lips "we're gonna do it too" after they got caught with the hurry up and he was complaining. I guess imitation is truly the best for of flattery.... Just funny to see.
Thanks for the thorough explanation why you doubt it, but they did. I guess you just don't know what i'm referring to which is understandable from your clueless reply.
You're not referring to the onside kick we blew last week vs. the Vikes, are you? Didn't think so. As I said, that was just practice until we kill with it again. You're such a Jets fan, RT, that I don't know whether to file you under 'real', 'crazy' or 'real crazy'. Maybe all three. Sasquatch, Loch Ness, Anthony Becht...
No, It was from the JETS COLTS game last year when we did the onside kick to them. I rewatched that game at least 6 times also backed it up to DVD from HD and when you see the way we ran the onside the Colts just ran it the EXACT Same way vs the Bears. It was irrefutable I tell ya! -unless i'm am stuck in an Area 51 zone and none of you actually exist! hmy:
the colts did an onside kick successfully during last preseason...the same exact way b4 we did that to the colts....we didnt invent the onside kick or the surprise onside kick and neither did they
Aye, God, yes I know. You ARE stuck in 'Area 51'. Hello? But that would be referencing Herman Edwards, and we so broke up with him.
By the way, Anyone critical of Brick's young career thus far, take a look at Tony Ugoh. Yeesh. Granted, he wasnt taken 4th overall, but was taken in round 2 and has had alot of hype. He's gonna get Manning killed!
It is clear to me that you & MC do not understand what I am referring to because you haven't watched the play over & over like I have AND it doesn't make you any less of a fan either. BUT I guess you're missing what I am saying so allow me to clarify. It's not that we ran an onsides kick, It's not who did it first nor am I saying we invented the surprise. It is the Way it was implemented. A very Unique way drawn up by Westhoff. PS: If I am in Area 51 and you are all Aliens then allow me to clarify a little more:
When words are not necessary... By the way, that was one of the best threads ever... It was actually: "Big Foot, Loch Ness, Anthony Becht..." If memory serves. A shame it got fried. As well as, "Wearing cozy socks and drinking hot cocoa with tiny marshmallows in front of the fire. EDGE: JETS." Good times.
That botched snap was bad. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Peyton Manning gets played up during the commentary preceding the game as if he wasn't handed a gift on a silver platter. Grossman throws the FB with his fuggin' foot during the SB, the defense plays tag football, and we're not even having this conversation. Such is life. EDIT: And let's not forget that Adam Vinathankyou won the NE game, not Manning. Manning is a puke. As is his 'special' brother.
That's not a very unusual play. Two years ago the Patriots did it 2X with Mike Vrabel being the individual responsible for getting the ball while the rest of the team surrounded him for protection. I guess the JETS watched the Patriots do it. Imitation is the best form of flattery.
Where are you from? Randolph, Massachusetts..? Ahhh that explains it. -The Jets did it. -No The Pats did it Twice, 2 years ago! Actually reminds me of that SNL skit... Should we just call you Penelope?
Dungy was NOT pissed because he wanted to steal our plays. Dungy was pissed because just a couple weeks prior the NFL sent them a letter saying if they substitute while in their hurry up, they had to give the D a chance to do the same... They even got a penalty for it. The Jets were working the same angle, but somehow not being forced to wait for substitution, which is why he said "We're gonna do it too"
Where did I say he was was pissed about not stealing our plays? Re read my post and you'll see that what you posted is the same reason I said he was pissed.
you worded it perfectly, i dont understand how anyone could not get what you were trying to say. i havent checked it but ill take your word, and it doesnt surprise me. westhoff is a ST guru.
TYVM. It happens from time to time I guess but Yea, I love the fact that we've kept Westhoff for a few years now. Field position is so important and won us a few games last year...
