Last year my calls for Breece Hall were met with disdain and I expect the same this year.

Let me start with a couple facts:

The Jets (FO) has Super Bowl expectations THIS YEAR

The Jets looked like a different team with a FRB on the field, even ZW looked like a winner.

Breece tore his ACL last October and while he is on pace to get back on the field next year, history says he won’t be 100% effective in 2023

Max Mitchell was PFFs highest rated RT coming out of college last year but was thought to need a year to develop by the Jets FO

Bijan is the highest rated (by pff) RB to come out of college… ever

OTs often need a year to develop, see the Giants OTs from 2020 and 2022

Those are facts, now I’ll sprinkle in some opinion….

While we need depth on the OL, our projected starters are all NFL caliber starters.

While the trade is expected, shit happens and a FRB is a viable backup plan

No player available at 13 would make more of an immediate impact than Bijan

When AR retires in 2024 or 2025, having an offense featuring Breece Hall and Bijan Robinson keeps us relevant regardless of the new QB

That’s my case for Bijan Robinson

You don't draft a RB in the first round. We have 3 solid backs already.

I really wanted Barkley years ago and while he's a good player, he hasn't lived up to the hype.

Come on. You wouldn't draft a RB in the first round when your offensive line is bad and you haven't done anything to address it?

We're clearly 1 player away at this point.

Breece averaged over 100 yards from scrimmage behind a worse OL than the one expected to start the season.

Our starting line wasn’t called bad by anyone except Jets fans. Our 3rd string players played like 3rd string backups. I’ve heard depth can be found in the later rounds.

Bam, Johnson, and MC2 are solid… but none have been able to make something out of nothing.

If you think Mitchell and Becton have less talent than Bam and MC2 then OT in the 1st makes sense. It’ll be interesting to see if the FO is ready to give up on their draft picks yet.

I’d take him but Philly at 10 I think is a lock to grab him

Tbh, I’d love for TX (raised in TX) to trade back/take Anderson and take BR/JSN with pick 11 and add the QB next year with their 2 1sts and an expectedly better class. .

They’ve put together a solid D in FA but need an edge. Sacks and BR would keep the fans entertained and they’d be in a great spot this time next year…

I remember a bunch of people talking Hall up, many well before you brought up his name, i really don't remember anyone putting him down. The most i heard was some thinking they wouldn't take another RB after taking one the previous draft.

Man, I just watched some highlights of Bijan and this kid looks better than Saquon did coming out of college. I still won’t take him at 13. But I would take him in Rd 2.

If Hall didn’t tear his ACL and if a 2 year recovery wasn’t the norm… I wouldn’t be thinking Bijan either.

If the Bills or Patriots get him….
