Its a shame there arent more Nets fans around here so I guess ill make this thread. The first preseason game was very encouring to say the least. First off Garnett's presence alone has completely overhauled this team. The shear amount of excitement just off of layups on the bench is something I personally have never seen from a NJ/BK team. The spacing is also pretty evident even with DWill on the bench, no more Reggie 3 second calls or Gerald Bricks, this is going to be a fun ride fellas. BTW, the next few games (for some reason) wont be on YES. I'm hoping Detroit and Philly are showing it and so we can stream it.
I think you guys are going to have a fun team. I do think you'll be closer to the 4/5 seed than the 1/2 but once you can remove minute limits and let the old guys go in the playoffs, watch out. Also, I hope everyone lets the BK/NYK rivalry actually develop instead of forcing it upon the fans. I really had no problem with BK last year, but a playoff series would make it go a long way.
HUGE statement win. We handled a big late comeback, we handled foul trouble, and we came out with a victory. Just wait, we've got a ton of basketball left over and this Net team hasnt even reached its peak. As a long time Net fan this is a great feeling.
If they can stay healthy during playoffs, this Nets team is the biggest threat to Hear in the East imho.
No Brook Lopez. Nets pulling a Spurs. F Alan Anderson F Blake Griffin F Reggie Evans F Jared Dudley C Andray Blatche C DeAndre Jordan G Joe Johnson G J.J. Redick G Shaun Livingston G Chris Paul
spending all that money to build a team based on deron williams was a major mistake. he did nothing in Utah, except drive a great coach to quit. all those lost draft picks will come back to haunt the nets for years to come. doing that in the past did not work. and, jason kidd during his previous stint with the nets was a way better player than deron williams will ever be. the Russian owner will end up writing off a lot of team income using those bloated salaries. as for bily king, he could not get the job done in philly. why anybody thought he suddenly got smarter with the nets is a mystery.
I was watching when this happened http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEqU7JHkfu0 Mike Fratello said when he coached he used to drop his cup to get free timeouts
This seems odd http://tracking.si.com/2013/12/03/nets-assistant-lawrence-frank-reassigned/ I thought Lawrence Frank would be very valuable to J Kidd on the bench
Celtics reporter, don't see it confirmed anywhere else yet though. Gary Tanguay @Gary_Tanguay 29m NBA source tells me Brook Lopez of the Nets is done for the year. Broken foot. East continues to get worse. #celticstalk
As Brook goes, Brooklyn goes? It's spreading on Twitter now. Still hasn't hit the websites. Nothing on ESPN or other sports sites.
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/sto...klyn-nets-lose-brook-lopez-season-broken-foot NEW YORK -- The Brooklyn Nets' disappointing start to the season hit a low point with the loss of All-Star center Brook Lopez for the season due to a broken foot, league sources confirmed Saturday. The Nets confirmed Saturday that Lopez broke his surgically repaired right foot, which he fractured in 2011 and later had a screw replaced in.
