    Despite appearances....

    Give the Pats the AFCE.
Give the someone the AFCW...that div has beaten each other out of the WC.
    Give the Texans the AFCS.
Give the Ravens or Steelers the AFCN. The other is the #5 seed.

So you have for sake of example:
    1.NE (cakewake rest of schedule)
2.Houston (easier divisional road than AFCN)
    3.Baltimore (tiebreaker on Pitt)
    4.Oakland
    5.Pittsburgh
    6.??????????

    Where's everyone else:
    AFCE: Jets 5-5, Buff 5-5, Miami 3-7
AFCW:Oak 6-4, Denver 5-5, SD 4-5 and losing, KC 4-5 and playing NE mon nite
AFCS:Tennessee 5-4 (losing big to ATL), JAX 3-7, Indy 0-10
    AFCN: Pittsburgh 7-3, Cincy 6-4, Cleve 4-6

So here are the teams with greatest chance and how we stack:
    Jets
    Buffalo
    Denver
    SD
    KC
    Tenn
    Pitt
    Cincy

The only team we lose the straight head to head tiebreak is Denver. But does anyone think that the Tebow Train is going not to lose steam at some point? I can't believe that that team will run the table. Cincinnati has a rookie QB and plays a series of tough divisional games versus Pitt and Balt and also Hou. I expect them to lose all of those games. Pittsburgh is a shoe in.

We hold the tie breaker (H2H) vs SD and Buffalo and can put Buffalo on the ropes next week after they have hit rock bottom. KC - we will have the opportunity to beat them and i expect we will. and Tenn still is yet to play TB, NO and Hou. SD after Chi they have also BAL, DET, OAK....

The Jets have Buf, Wash, KC, Phlliy, NYG, Mia.

So basically, there's a better chance of us making the playoffs this year than there was back in 2009 when we lost to the Falcons. That's pretty much my line of thinking. We still control our own destiny, for the most part.

We control our destiny, and YES I will cheer for the Patriots to beat the Broncos depending on the standings at the time.

Also im the biggest Bears fan for the next 4 weeks(they play the entire AFC West).

The one thing im worried about is the Bengals, im pretty sure though if we end up tied with them we will have the tiebreaker because honestly they havent beaten jack shit yet. They lost to the Broncos and Ravens and beat the Bills and Jaguars. Same exact as us. The only difference though is our schedule is probably harder and that would give us the tiebreaker.

i see us still making the playoffs, we have an easier schedule than most, however i did see denver as an easy win. we just need to get hot, and winning 5 out of the next 6 would get us a wild card. very doable.

on the other hand, can we make noise in the playoffs? our running game needs to get back on track if we want to have a shot at doing some damage in the postseason. it worries me that we aren't winning on the road this year and only beating bad teams.

Good Lord guys. Don't even mention the Broncos. They are pathetic. They will probably finish 6-10.

We need to go 6-0 right now or go 5-1 while the Bengals go 3-3 or worse. I can't even tell you how long the odds on that are but they are probably in the thousands to one range.

Losing to the pathetic Tebow Broncos really killed my season. At this point it doesn't even matter.

I understand everyone wanting to look ahead-----but the team I saw play Denver and NE these past 2 weeks is NOT a playoff team. Buffalo has looked really bad these last few weeks and has all types of injuries ,,,,next week should not even be a close game but the way our guys have played anything can happen-----yep even the Bills scare me right now!

With that human garbage called Hunter blocking on the right side, does it matter anyway?

    Giants and Eagles say hi.

*And don't even give me "Eagles suck" bullshit. This offense can't score on donkeys defense. Are you kidding me?*

At this point I can't even think playoffs. All I can think about is how disappointing this team is and how they don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the elite teams,or even the very good teams in the league.

Jets have to clutch the rest of the year. Because to win our remaining games we'd be on a roll going into the playoffs.

I keep hearing you guys say that you have an easy schedule, and really it isn't that hard...but Philly and the Giants will be tough games, KC is streaky but they aren't horrible either. Washington is pretty much garbage right now but they did stay close me Dallas. And Miami is playing really well right now and I'm sure they would love to knock you guys out of the playoffs. I am a dolphins fan and we have been playing really good the last few weeks. We havn't played great teams but regardless our defense is starting to play like the top 5 unit I thought they would be heading into the year. And our offense is clicking.

My only point being that its not gonna be a cake walk. And if you keep playing how you are now, I highly doubt you will make the playoffs. You have a lot of talent so you guys can definately get hot, but again, not the easiest schedule. Also, if you guys lose to Buffalo I could really see the wheels start to fall off. Kind of like your 3 game losing streak earlier in the season. Players complaining to the media, not believing in there coaches. Just an outsiders opinion.

My line of thinking is that if we lose to the Tebow led Broncos, how is this team going to beat a real play off team. After that loss, Im not sure the Jets deserve to make it to the playoffs...

Not saying I dont want them to make the playoffs because I obviously do

    You're so off on this.
Which are you more doubtful about ... Jets 5-1 or Bengals 3-3? I'd bet my life the Bengals don't win more than 9 games (losses to Pitt, Balt, and ONE of the following: Rams, Browns,Cardinals,Texans). So that means we'd need to win the 4 games we'll be favored in (Bills, Chiefs, Redskins, Dolphins) and split with the Giants and Eagles.

If you wanted to give me 1,000-1 on both those scenarios happening, I'd take it.
In fact, as long as we beat Buffalo on Sunday, I'll feel really good about us going into that Dolphin game 9-6.
