Our very own is ranked 3rd by ESPN (QBR), ahead of Brady and A-Rod. http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr Can his greatness still be questioned? I think not.
This is how you know QBR is a very flawed statistic. Love the dude but no way in hell he should be ahead of Brady or Rodgers in anything.
It's amazing how many Bills fans loved having him around, how many of them were pissed when they didn't keep him around. That always says a lot about a player. When he goes to your divisional rival and you still have their fans can't help but root for him. I know a bunch of Bills fans that almost feel like rooting for the Jets a little bit unless they're playing the Bills. Crazy. Love Revis but I never wanted him to do well or even liked him when he went to the Pats. Guys like Fitz, Curtis Martin, they get a pass.
I know a bunch of Texans fans that love Fitz as well. I thnk this is what really did it for me. Him going crazy made me go crazy haha
Fitzy was well loved and did some great things. If I remember correctly, you guys didnt seem to think very highly of him at the time Honestly though, as both the Geno and EJ experiments went poorly, we gave up on Fitz for EJ and you guys gave up on Geno for Fitz. Weird? As much love as Fitzmagic got initially, he couldnt keep that spark. His winning ways turned into losing ways, and the gunslinger swagger he had kinda morphed into ill advised throws and critical times and enough was enough. The grass was greener... and then EJ came along and we wondered why we'd given up on Fitz when Orton seemed to be the same but with out the charm and the personality ya love to root for. Aside from being good for at least one dumb pick a game (which really didnt bother me personally because at least he was taking chances and trying to make something happen) the thing that everyone hated and drove us nuts was his deep ball. It was the weirdest thing. They went straight up and sometimes you'd wonder if they were ever going to come back down. It was amazing that an NFL qb who otherwise played a decent game was capable of such absolute ducks or floaters. Sometimes they'd be picked, and more often than not just land harmlessly out of bounds but it was tough going a couple years not having the deep ball threat. Anything over 20 yrs, fergitaboutit because any attempt was just a waste of a down and if it wasnt incomplete it was an INT. Always wish him well though, he fought hard for us.... except when we play against him of course
My first memory is him shredding us when he was on Cincinnati, and at the time I had no idea who he was and I was freaking out. Then he signed with Buffalo and had nothing personal against him besides the fact he played for the Bills. Then I remember watching him on Tennessee and I was able to root for him a little more, and I LOVED the way he played. I knew he wasn't the most amazing QB in the league, but I liked his passion and he carried that over to Houston last year. I was very glad he came to the Jets and had been advocating it a couple years after Buffalo released him so that Geno could learn behind. How ironic. This video pretty much sums it up though for me. Guy plays like he means it. http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-med...e-speech/5f49f918-83a2-491a-97b5-d0cf7b5550d2
