NY Jets: 1 30 (30) Muhammad Wilkerson DE 6-5 300 Temple 3 30 (94) Kenrick Ellis DT 6-5 340 Hampton We all seemd to love the wilkerson pick and for good reason. The kid is exactly the pick we have needed for a couple of years. Ellis has some outstanding issues, but I trust our FO and am Happy as hell to have a big beast in the Middle for the future. They will both see rotational time right away and could be the anchors of our line for years to come.
Obviously NE think they have struck gold, but for me (and I'm no draft guru) I think they could and should have done better, maybe using a trade to move up. Out of the first 3 picks, the only one I thought was odd was Ras-I Dowling as Aaron Williams who I think is a better CB was still there. The Vereen pick has me scratching my head a little, I really don't see how they are going to use him, WR??? Letting woodhead go, surely not.
