It's looking like not even Jamal Adams can help improve that Seattle defense (great for Jet fans); it's absolutely atrocious.

I was against the trade immediately after happening but the closer we get to actually finishing with the #1 pick and Trevor Lawrence, the more I appreciate getting two first round picks for one of my favorite Jets.

And the closer we get to Trevor and the #1 pick; the more i can literally taste both of Jamal's picks becoming and being used on impactful (dare I say it) offensive fire power (for yes, Trevor Lawrence).

And the more games that Seattle begins to lose (after now back to back loses) along with an alarming/concerning Defense movie forward?

The more us Jet fans can begin to dream of some of our favorite RBs, WRs and TE prospects potentially being available with Seattle's Jamal pick.

Just a couple 2-3 weeks ago it appeared as if we'd have (for sure) either the 31st or 32nd pick of the 1st round, but not anymore...

Things have (quickly) changed (and could be trending upwards movie forward).

There is one 8-0 team (Steelers).

There is one 7-1 team (Chiefs).

There is one 7-2 team (Bills).

    There are a whopping FIVE 6-2 teams (Seattle/Baltimore/Green Bay/Tampa Bay/Tennessee).

There is one 5-2 team (Saints).

And there are another whopping FIVE 5-3 teams (Raiders/Rams/Dolphins/Browns/Colts).
We could be looking @ a top 15 pick by season's end.

Right now we'd be picking 29th as of right this very moment behind KC/PITT/TB.

However don't look now but picks 19-29 are all within an absolute log jam.

The more teams like Pitt, KC, TB, Buffalo, Baltimore, Green Bay, Tennessee, Raiders, Rams, Arizona, Dolphins, Browns and Colts win? The better for our 1st round pick to have a chance at sneaking into a really good 1st round pick because these teams are in a job jam right now.

Seattle next 4 games; Rams, Cardinals, Eagles, Giants. I'd love 2-2 and a 1-3 defensive drought would be beautiful.

I'd love to pick 12th-17th within that range.

What if Seattle completely misses the playoffs and a couple of AFC teams also have a better record than them? Once 6-0 now 6-2 and so many NFC teams are now breathing down their necks we could end up with a REALLY GOOD mid 1st round pick.

If QBs and O-Lineman and some defensive players go high? A real deal offensive game breaker could fall to us!

WRs like Waddle, Bateman and Moore could fall right into our laps and even RB Travis Etienne could be right there and TEs like Pat Freiermuth or godforbid Kyle Pitts TE Florida could even be in striking range!

We land TL and omg this Seattle pick can become even more exciting than any of us could've imagined a couple of weeks ago...

Is Jamal still injured? They couldn't stop a nose bleed today.

He was also arguing with Pete Carroll. Pain in the ass.

Maybe he just comes from SEC defensive dominance and was just traded away from a once NYJ top 10 defense and is frustrated at Pete's laughing stock defense and as a player isn't willing to be quiet about Seattle's defense like all their other loser jag defenders?

Nonetheless would be epic if he turns on Seattle and wants to finally test free agency and makes Seattle waste and lose two first rounders for a RENTAL lol.

Maybe pull a Revis and return back home for his prime years once Adam Gase is gone lol

Isn't the pick determined by playoff status ?

If Seattle makes the playoffs, we need them to lose in the 1st round.

We need them to completely miss the playoffs. Easily possible with their defensive mess.

Yes. post-season performance supersedes reg. season record:

    https://operations.nfl.com/the-players/the-nfl-draft/the-rules-of-the-draft/

    • The four teams eliminated in the wild card round pick in slots 21-24 in the reverse order of their final regular season records.
    • The four teams eliminated in the divisional round pick in slots 25-28 in the reverse order of their final regular season records.
    • The two teams that lost in the conference championships pick in the 29th and 30th spots in the reverse order of their final regular season records.
    • The team that lost the Super Bowl has the 31st pick in the draft.
    • The Super Bowl champion has the 32nd and final spot in each round.

Was a really good week for us in terms of who wanted to win or not and correlation to our draft picks. GO JETS

Odds of them missing the playoffs aren't likely, especially with them expanding it to 14 teams.

He committed a penalty that negated a 3rd down stop and gave Buffalo a 1st down which they scored from right after but it’s never Jamals fault he does nothing wrong.

Seattle had seven sacks and the secondary
still can’t stop Allen, Jamal should have a ton of interceptions when you consider how much pressure the Seattle front puts on a QB.

What does he have for interceptions this year?

Zero interceptions so far, won’t surprise me if he starts crying again and asks for a trade from Seattle, guy is turning out to be a whiny, high maintenance player who complains about everything.

Honestly I’d be very happy with a pick in the 21-24 range from Seattle which means we need to root hard for them to lose in WC range.

That range should give us plenty to choose from at WR, OL & TE and then have another pick soon after to double dip.

We just have to hope the Cardinals, Rams, or 49ers take the division.

The math gets much better if that happens.

Well it's just 7 per conference and teams within their division such as both Arizona and Rams are both hot on their trails. I believe if both Arizona and LAR catch them within their own division they'll be in trouble. One more serious defensive slump and losing streak can completely eliminate them (fingers crossed on Seattle melting down).

Adams is overrated and has a huge ego problem. Doesn't help that Ken Norton Jr was a better player than playcaller. Still, trading him was absolutely the correct call, even if the picks are in the back half of the first round. The Jets lack the culture and staff to handle him.

Seattle has not picked inside the top 25 in 10 years. While it is nice to see them lose, I would not get too excited about getting a high pick.

Maybe Pete Carrol is no Gregg Williams.

While Williams is know for a sophisticated Defense that mixes it up and moves players around (constantly), Carrol's Seattle defense is more 'static'. "This is what we got, try and beat it". When Jamal moved there a local beat writer suggested Jamal will get bored in Pete's static D, with little to no creativity. Every player does the same job every snap.
