Yes, a heartfelt thanks to all of you who served our country in the armed forces! I was privileged to sing yet again for a local Veteran's breakfast, and heard a WW II Gruman Hellcat pilot who won the Distinguished Cross and who dropped leaflets advising the citizens of Hiroshima to evacuate/flee the city the day before we dropped the atomic bomb. I also heard two female helicopter pilots. One is a Lt. Col. and flies Blackhawks. She served 3 tours in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan. The other female helicopter pilot flew med evac helicopters similar to the Hueys used in Vietnam. Both were very inspiring.

At lunch, I took my father to a Texas Roadhouse (they were giving free lunches to all vets). He is a WW II vet as well, and will be 98 at Christmas. I never knew there were so many vets! The place was packed when we arrived, we waited 20 minutes for a table, and there was a long line waiting to get in when we left 1 1/2 hours later. I salute you all!
