We're going to put a poll together with the top 10 teams in the TGG Mock Draft that (almost) finished over this past weekend. IF YOU WANT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE POLL YOU MUST ATLEAST POST ALL TRADES/PICKS YOU MADE IN AN ORGANIZED FASHION IN THIS THREAD! A depth chart or explanation of the trades and picks is optional. For example:

    http://bunniediehl.worldmagblog.com/bunniediehl/archives/nfl_denver_broncos.gif

Broncos get: #43 Pick, #219 Pick
Ravens get: WR Ashley Lelie, #93 Pick

    Browns get: #61 Pick
Broncos get: #78 Pick, TE Kellen Winslow Jr.

    Saints get: #78
Broncos: #91, RB Michael Bennett, QB Adrian McPherson

Total additions through trade: #43 Pick, TE Kellen Winslow Jr., #91 Pick, RB Michael Bennett, QB Adrian McPherson, #219 Pick

Total losses through trade: #61 Pick, #93 Pick, WR Ashley Lelie

    Draft Picks
    15. WR Chad Jackson, Florida
With a WR core fill of #3 WRs and Rod Smith, I add a #2 receiver with the talent to be a #1 when Rod Smith retires.
    22. DE/LB Manny Lawson, NC State
The need for a pass rusher was so high that I had to take a slight gamble. If he can bulk up 10-15 pounds and still play at a similar speed he should be able to become one of the dominant pass rushers in the league. It's possible... as the "undersized" John Abraham and Dwight Freeney have become all-pro players.
    43. S Donte Whitner, Ohio State
Playmaking safety with ball skills that adds youth to an aging secondary and should be able to start over Nick Ferguson right away.
    91. DT Jonathan Lewis, Virginia Tech
An undersized DT that penetrates and rushes the passer extremely well - a good fit in the Denver Bronco's system. Will compete for a starting job in TC

I filled all the needs I wanted to coming in (WR, DE, TE, S, DT, RB, Backup QB) with a mix of rookies and veterans. If Kellen Winslow can stay healthy this draft is excellent IMO. If it had continued through 7 rounds I would've drafted OL with my next few picks to get depth and fresh blood in a group that only has a year or two left in them.

QB Plummer - McPherson - Van Pelt
RB Bennett - Bell - Dayne
    FB Johnson - Sapp
WR Smith - Jackson - Watts - Adams - Terrell
TE Winslow Jr. - S. Alexander - Duke
    OT Lepsis - Foster - C. Green - Pears
OG Cooper - Carlisle - Whitely - Bibla
    C Nalen - Hamilton - Myers

DE Lawson - Brown - Ekuban - Engelberger - Coleman
DT Myers - Lewis/Warren (Lewis and Warren will compete for job in TC)
OLB Gold - DJ Williams - L. Green - Chukwurah
    MLB Wilson - Burns
    CB Bailey - Da. Williams - Foxworth - Paymah - R. Alexander
    S Lynch - Whitner - Ferguson - Cox

    P Sauerbrun

Didn't you trade Barrett to the Ravens as well?

    I would give your draft a B+
You picked up good players for needed spots.

    This draft I would give a B-

You only got #43 (#219 is pointless we only did 3 rounds) for Ashley Lelie and your #93.

Kellen Winslow Jr has yet to do anything in the NFL is name is more hype then anything else.

RB Michael Bennett, QB Adrian McPherson are nothing more then depth signings.

Your first pick was taken too high, your second was a good chioce, your third was a steal at #43, your last pick was taken too high.

I got Lelie at a late 2nd round value - really he was being shopped for a 5th rounder with no takers.

So far, I have traded the #34 overall selection and CB Mike McKenzie to the Bengals for the #24 pick and a third rounder. Two of my corners, Jason Craft and Fred Thomas, both put up better numbers than McKenzie last year, who is getting older and therefore became expandable.

    My Draft:

#2) D'Brickashaw Ferguson, LT, Virginia--solidifies a weak position, LT, after the trade of Gandy and gives the Saints two great tackles in Brick and Brown to build around for a long time. Brees won't have to worry about re-injuring his shoulder with two guys like that protecting him.

#24) Chad Greenway, OLB, Iowa--once projected as a higher pick, poor workouts allowed him to fall here, where I was happy to trade up for him because this kid can play! OLB was my biggest need and I filled it with IMO the 3rd best OLB available in Greenway, who's leadership and good character will be very useful to a franchise who could use some.

3rd) Gerris Wilkinson, LB, Georgia Tech--fills the final spot needed in my LB core and could be able to start right away

Also signed Dominique Byrd, TE, USC as my one UDFA to add another weapon in the passing game at a weak position

Starters (I don't know all the Saints backups)

    QB: Brees
    RB: McAllister
    FB: Karney
    WR: Horn/Stallworth/Henderson
    TE: Byrd
    LT: Ferguson
    LG: Holland
    C: Jacox
    RG: Newberry
    RT: Brown

    DE: Smith
    DE: Grant
    DT: Sullivan
    DT: Young
    OLB: Greenway
    MLB: Wilkinson
    OLB: Bockwaldt
    CB: Thomas
    CB: Craft
    FS: Smith
    SS: Bullocks

    K: Karney
    P: Berger

    BOLD = Added by Me

Overall I used this to give more youth to the team and add some playmakers on both sides of the ball, this team needs more depth but it is a good start, I wanted to get new blood in and remove players that have been losing with the organization for the last few seasons.

I have lost: Eric Johnson, Adam Snyder, Mike Rumph, Tony Parish and Bryant Young

    I have gained:

Javon Walker: Alex Smith needs some weapons, and Walker fits the bill, he can return to his old form and be a dominant reciever

Bryant Johnson: Needs a change of scnery, with the emergence of Boldin and now Fitzgerald he will not have a shot but could ressurect his career being the number 2

John Navarre: A QB with a great arm that is still maturring, will be able to be a solid backup and better than what they had

Ernest Shazor: A run stuffing safety who will work in and eventually take over a starting role

    Drafted:

AJ Hawk: A cornerstone defensive player that will more than replace Peterson and will be a key player in the resurrection of a great franchise

Andrew Whitworth: A solid right tackle that will hols that spot down for years to come, has played LT in college so if needed has the versatility to switch to the other side if he builds some foot speed

Rodrique Wright: career is in question with injury concerns but one year of rehab and spot play, along with some motivation from a great defensive head coach and he could be a great 3-4 end

Chris Gocong: Prime player for the 3-4, a sleeper pick that will fit a major hole on this defense

    Offense

WR JAVON WALKER Arnaz Battle Otis Amey Jason McAddley
    LT Jonas Jennings ANDREW WHITWORTH
    LG Larry Allen Justin Smiley
    C Jeremy Newberry Eric Heitmann

RT Kwame Harris Patrick Estes Harvey Dahl
    TE Terry Jones Billy Bajema
WR BRYANT JOHNSON Antonio Bryant Rasheed Marshall
QB Alex Smith JOHN NAVARRE Cody Pickett

I sent PMs out to everyone that didn't fill one yet, so we'll see if we can get a reasonable amount of entries.

I think I did a fairly good job completing this team with players to fill holes and added some quality depth that could become starters. I didnt make a splash in the draft but I think I did good enough to gain recogniction.
