Mods, feel free to delete this if not appropriate, thanks. "Hi guys. I've set up a Fantasy League for the TGG members to join in Yahoo!'s platform, as it was suggested to be good platform to use. I've initially set up a 10 team, ppr, 3 WR & 3 RB league, so slightly deeper league to make it more interesting and maybe then you need to draft more rookies or to find sleepers for your team. There's also a custom point system, I added some bonus points for passing/receiving/running yards, so check them out and see if they make any sense. If you have any suggestions, feel free to bring them up and I can change them. It is a 10 team league, as I said, but depending on the interest level I can change it to have more players involved. Or if we don't get 10 players then reduce the teams accordingly. Hopefully there is enough interested folks here, it would be added fun to play against each other in Fantasy Football. It's not set in stone yet, I just put it as late as possible to give interested players time to join. It is bound to be inconvenient time for folks here in Europe that's for sure PDT is ten hours behind where I am, so it is eight hours in England if I'm not mistaken.
While playing the NFL.com one usually there can be a compromise time. I am good for between 7pm-10pm UK time which is 2pm-5pm EST and 11am-2pm PDT There is zero chance of me getting up in the middle of the night unless it is a Saturday > Sunday night, the only day I don't work is Sunday and I get up at 4.30am the rest of the time lol
I get where you're coming from. Hopefully we can set a time that works for everyone. For me it doesn't matter, I can get up in the middle of the night as I'm laid off from my work at the moment so anytime works for me Unfortunately I set this League up a little too late, I would've hoped to draft on a weekend, but now if we want to start from week 1, I'm afraid we have to draft during the week. I thought it would be quite fun to draft before the KC-HOU kick-off, it would nicely build up momentum for the game. But we'll see.
These leagues are fun at the start but a lot of people stop paying attention later in the year. If you want people to commit, I think there should be a $25 or $50 per person buy in. I am in if the $25 buy in is approved by at least 9 other people. I am good for $50 buy in as well.
I couldn’t bear the thought of my fellow board members going through a fantasy football season without me, I’ve done everyone the favor of joining. also I’m in for a 25 dollar buy in if needed
I was just checking how to set the buy in. There seems to be some restriction to convert to cash league from abroad. So if we decide to run a cash league, someone would need to be a co-commissioner or if that's not enough then take on the job as commissioner.
Can somebody volunteer to be the commissioner? One with Venmo or Paypal account preferred. Let’s make it a $25 buy in
There's now ten teams who have joined, I expanded to 12 teams. What's the maximum number of teams in your opinion? 14? Or all the way to 16?
I'm in, agreed 12 teams max. I'm in a 14, it's certainly interesting. I'm fine with it though, just more challenging. Skilled drafters should be fine.
