Miami drafted him way early. The FO touted him as "a game breaking return specialist".

Yet Ronnie Brown, is the returner.

Why in hell would you make your franchise RB return kicks?!?

Ginn is nasty in Madden, he always gives me problems for some reason. And we all know how reliable Madden is.

Ginn will be returning punts, and playing some WR in 2007. I think the reason why Cameron is having Brown return kicks right now, is to simply motivate him. Cameron is challenging him, and pushing him to be a more productive all around player. Once the regular season starts, I highly doubt you'll see Brown continue that in that role, it's just temporary in my opinion...

I don't think CC likes R. Brown at all. I heard there were rumblings Chatman might take over for him. Motivate or not CC is not liking some of the holdovers from the prior regimes especially on offense (Chambers and OL). At least that is what they are saying on the radio down here.

Yeah, I've been hearing the same on the radio... Not happy with Brown at all.

    Go Fins! Keep it up!

Dumb move. Brown is good, he could develop well as a franchise back, it's stupid to risk him at this stage in his career. If he was a number 2 and in his first year or so, playing returner would be alright, but doing it now, it risky

Motivate him? To do what? Sprout wings and fly over the LOS? If Ronnie Brown hasn't been doing well at RB, it might just have something to do with what passes for an OL in Miami!

That's what I wrote, and that's the word out of Miami, take it or leave it....

It might, but you can't place all of the blame up front. Ronnie has to shoulder some of the responsibility / blame as well in my opinion. He hasn't lived up to the hype since being drafted, and if he doesn't step it up this year, his job could be in jeopardy heading into 2008...

  11. I dont blame the Phins for taking Brown where they did in the 05 draft due to the overall value board and the fact that there wasnt a trade down partner.

However, I said long before that draft, that Cadillac Williams and Cedric Benson would both be better all around Rb's than Brown would be. Thus far, their all on level footing w/ a slight edge to Brown for at least starting and staying healthy for all of his first 3 years..but I have a feeling that the latter 2 will be surpassing him this coming year..
