I know that Sanchez is the starter, and the better technical QB thrower. But Tebow is a leader. The contrast is really quite stark which causes you to notice this when you may not have before. You can see that kid go out there and fire everybody up. Clearly what Tebow lacks in QB talent he makes up for with his intangibles. Hopefully he will be a good model for Sanchez in this department.
Food for thought, there's a huge difference between saying someone is "not a strong leader" and "not as strong a leader" as someone else.
I think Sanchez is showing how strong of a leader he actually is. This team is his. Adding Tebow would have made his lack of leadership show even more, instead he has proven the kind of leader he actually is.
Sanchez has more pluck. But Tebow has grit. But Sanchez also has mettle. Tebow though does have some fortitude. But Sanchez out does Tebow in chutzpah. But Tebow has some spirit. But Sanchez does have some tenaciousness.
I think we all get that both Sanchez and Tebow has advantages and disadvantages. None of the QBs had a problem tonight, it was basically the O-Line that stunk it up as usual.
Not trying to cause a firestorm, but Tebow definitely is a stronger leader than Sanchez is, be in his personality, his style, what have you. Don't know what it is exactly, or where he got it, but the kid has leadership in spades. That said, it *seems* to me that Mark has stepped up and been more of a leader this year already. Can't say that with 100% certainty, as I never followed him that closely. Going more by his reputation and the way he came across the few times I saw, or heard from him. IIRC, I think Rex and others, who would know, have commented on him being more of a leader this year. It will be interesting watching the dynamics at play this year, as both Sanchez and Tebow have things to figure out. Sanchez has to demonstrate that he, without a doubt, is the leader of this team. Tebow has to figure out how to be himself and be a good example, without assuming too strong of a leadership role.
The only thing Tebow did well was scramble and run. If by that you mean leadership, then ok. :hackett:
You missed the part where he got super pumped up and started flailing his arms ferociously after running for a first down. That really moved the leadership needle.
If Sanchez wasnt a leader he would have curled up and "died" when Tim fucking Tebow came into town. Has he? Even a little? Nope. This thread blows
