NFL | Tebow to be invited to 2010 NFL Draft Comment (0) Wed, 17 Mar 2010 12:47:33 -0700 Chris Mortensen, of ESPN, reports University of Florida QB Tim Tebow has been invited to attend the 2010 NFL Draft, according to sources. I don't understand the NFL....if they think Tebow is a top rated pick..they're morons. It could get real ugly...need to hide his ass in the green room. He's not getting drafted Thursday night.
maybe with the 2nd/3rd rounds on friday night they are bringing players for that night too.idk just a theory
Now we will get to see a "Tebow Cam" in the bottom right corner...probably for 8 hours of NFL Draft Coverage...
Haha I can not wait to watch him squirm uncomfortably for three days before being picked late in the 4th round.
I understand your point......but what if Tebow happened to go in rd 1? You invite the elite to the draft!! Suh McCoy Berry Bradford Clausen Okung..maybe
Right now, I doubt Clausen gets invited. I do think the best place for him would be Washington though.
Found this article.............. NFL might invite second-round prospects to draft Posted by Michael David Smith on March 1, 2010 1:15 PM ET Most years, the NFL doesn't invite players to attend the draft in person unless they're expected to be off the board early in the first round, and it's always viewed as a little bit embarrassing if a player who attends the draft has to sit there for a few hours before he's selected. But this year, the NFL might invite some players to the draft who aren't even expected to be selected on the first day. Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com reports that the league is looking at inviting some of the top projected second-round picks to New York City for the second day of the draft. This year the first round will take place on Thursday, April 22, the second and third rounds on Friday, April 23 and the fourth through seventh rounds on Saturday, April 24. With Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in the unusual position of being the most-discussed prospect in the draft even though he's not widely regarded as a first-round pick, the NFL would likely tell him he's welcome to attend the draft on whatever day(s) he wants. Texas quarterback Colt McCoy is another player who's not considered a first-round pick but would be a logical choice to get an invitation. And if the NFL wants to get some attention for players who will reflect well on the league, it should also invite Myron Rolle, the safety from Florida State whose status as a Rhodes Scholar should be a source of pride for the NFL, even if not every coach at the scouting combine was impressed.
The Superchristian missionary as a Raider? Man I would LOVE to see that. RaiderJoe's head would explode.
that would fucking RULE! i didn't even think of this. seriously how funny would it be even if they took him in the 3rd. that'd be some qb battle they'd have on their hands.
If I were him I'd find an excuse to decline so I wouldn't be embarrassed, sitting there watch all those players go before me. I'd love it if the Raiders took him. Hell, he's probably better than Fatty Russell.
I just hope no one in the division drafts him. He's the type of guy you never really want to play against. Let alone for years. He has way too much pride to decline being with the elite players he probably groups himself with.
I don't hate Tebow. I think it's stupid for the NFL to invite him to the draft not knowing what friggin round he's going to be draft.
