CFL here he comes http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000236929/article/tim-tebow-cut-by-new-england-patriots Tim Tebow was cut by the New England Patriots on Saturday, ending another chapter in the former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback's itinerant NFL career, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. With Ryan Mallett firmly entrenched as Tom Brady's backup, Tebow was a long shot to make the Patriots' final 53-man roster.
Pats cut Tebow If someone else posted already,,my deepest apologies,,,,,if it needs to be merged,,,then so be it,,,,but I just read off. Kffl that they cut Tebow. Looks as if he is now officially done.
I expect that certain people will now claim that the Jets "ruined" him last year, and that's why it's not unfair that the genius decided he wasn't good enough to play in the NFL this year.
Twitter is just owning the guy right now. @TheFakeESPN: "Remember, Tim.... that one time you lusted after that boob? That is why." Lmfao
Looks like Skip isn't taking the news well @RealSkipBayless 1h I am STUNNED. Tebow cut by Pats. Thought Belichick would keep him for intangibles/playmaking. I was very wrong and Stephen A was right. @RealSkipBayless 1h Hard to comprehend how a Tebow who had NFL's best QBR in final 5 mins of games in 2011 might be finished. But once Belichick says no ... @RealSkipBayless 1h Biggest issue for Tebow in NE: Ran spread option in 1st preseason game, looked great. Ran Brady's dropback "o" next 2, often looked awful. @RealSkipBayless 1h Guarantee you Tebow could win more games this year for his hometown Jags than Blaine Gaebbert will. @RealSkipBayless 1h OH, NO. Now my guy Vince Young tweets HE has been cut by Green Bay?! Lord have mercy. I'm having a rough morning.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
As if we didn't need more evidence of how delusional he is, consider the first preseason game, when according to Skip, Tebow "[r]an spread option in 1st preseason game, looked great." Drive 1: 0/2 passing, sacked for 10 yard loss, 3-and-out after he came in for Mallett. Drive 2: 1/1 passing for 17 yards, 1 rush for 12 yards, 8 play drive, 57 yards and TD. Drive 3: 1/3 passing for 15 yards, 3 rushes for 19 yards. Drive 4: 0/1 passing, 3-and-out. Drive 5: 0/2 passing, sacked for 8 yard loss, 3-and-out. Drive 6: 0/1 passing, 3-and-out. That's 1 good drive, 1 mediocre drive, and four 3-and-out drives in which he was 0/6 and sacked twice, and Skip's summary is that he looked great. Is it any wonder that he is stunned? He raises cluelessness to an art form.
This is a painful memory ... highlights of a comeback win against Miami in his first game since being named starter in 2011.
No surprise here. The Patriot's offense is decent, they don't need/want Tebow. So the Jets were not incorrect in limiting his play last season. The truth finally emerges.
I agree, Jacksonville has no one thats going to put asses in seats and Tebow would probably do just that. Gabbert has been less than spectacular and no one believes in Chad Henne to really take them places. Might as well pick Tebow up, right?
