4 teams in the divisional round of the play-offs (Patriots, Ravens, Bears, Packers) and a division rival (Dolphins, shit happens in div games). When we look at our 11-5 record we have to remember where those 5 Ls came from, if we want to fairly evaluate our regular season... hopefully we can have revenge against three of those teams on our rd to the SB win!
ur right but outside of the second patriots game every one of those games was easily winnable, we still lost but its not like the jets got crushed
Agreed and that's a good thing... it was just to underline the quality of the teams we lost to... except the Dolphins we've lost to some pretty successful teams. It's not the end of the world to lose against good teams, and that's why our record is even more valuable in hindsight.
If you're gonna look at it that way then you barely beat.... Denver, Detroit, Cleveland, Houston, and I guess you could throw Pitt on that list. A win is a win and a loss is a loss.
Jets are a very good team. A dangerous team. They're an identity away from being a super bowl type team; that and maybe getting consistent play from the QB really. They're that close.
And the only team to actually "Kick Our Ass" was the Pats whom we did beat earlier in the season. So let's get it done Sunday!
All the Jet haters who say the Jets could have easily went 8-8 fail to realize they also could have been 14-2.
That's an interesting fact you posted. Will our strength of schedule this season help us out in any way for next season (e.g., draft order)? Anyway... a loss is never easy to take (esp. in the days directly following one), but your post helps put them into perspective. Looking back, I have to say, with the exception of the game at Foxboro, I'm not sure we shouldn't have won the other 4 games, esp. the Ravens and home Miami game. The goose egg vs. the Packers was inexcusable. Anyway, this season the Jets have demonstrated the ability to hang tough in (and finish) close games... even more so than the Pats, I would say. Should be a classic game this coming Sunday at 4:30! :metal:
I think we started to find our identity in the second half against the Colts. We took 15 minutes off the lock in 2 drives (thanks to our running game).
